Today, I went in for an audition. Since my wrist had been in a brace all week, I felt I would be fine without it for one day because I didn't want it to be a distraction. I tripped in the middle of the dance routine and crashed on top of my injured wrist. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I twisted my ankle and fractured my wrist while dancing. I audition for a performing arts school in one week. FML
Today, I injured my knee during dance class. When it started to feel a little bit better, I tried dancing again. I tripped, fell, and broke my wrist. FML
Today, during dress rehearsal before the show, I came in with crutches pretending I broke my leg as a joke. I then threw away the crutches, laughed and then fell down some stairs. I am now in crutches with a broken leg. I was the lead. FML
Today, I was in a play and had a battle scene. I got a little too into it and wound up twisting my ankle. The audience was treated to me screaming like a little girl before face-planting the stage a moment later. FML
Carry that weight
Today, I was getting up from sitting on the floor. I lent on the coffee table to help support my weight and heard a pop. I'd bruised the tendons in my wrist and now have to wear a wrist guard for 6 weeks. FML
Today, I sprained my ankle at dance class. No, I wasn't dancing when I did it. I was trying to step off from a small mat so I could go home. FML
Klutz
Today, my klutziness reached a new level. I was walking down a flight of stairs, sneezed, and proceeded to fall down, scraping the crap out of my knees and spraining my dominant wrist. FML
Hope there's no dancing involved
Today, I fell on a crack in the pavement and broke my ankle. Next week, I'm supposed to fly interstate to be on a quiz show I've spent two years in the audition process for. FML
Today, my mom told me to break a leg before performing in my dancing school's show. I really did break part of my leg while performing. FML
Today, I slipped on the wet floor at work and sprained my wrist badly. I was carrying the wet floor sign so no one would slip. FML

You're doing it all wrong, OP. You're supposed to break a *leg.*

Why the hell would you think dancing with a sprained/broken wrist without a cast is a good idea? YDI

Bad move, how much of a distraction could it have really been?

I broke 3 metatarsals in my left foot when I was dancing ballet in highschool. After 4 months of crutchs, I went to a cane. I had my final entrance exam for Cornish School of the Arts 2 weeks after that and decided I was good enough. Ruined my foot and lost my career as a dancer

That is profoundly sad.

I guess tripping and injuring yourself was more distracting than a cast ever could be

Injuries that require a brace don't really clear up in a week. you should've told the people judging auditions that you had an injury and they would've rescheduled you. as people in the field, they above anyone else would be sympathetic and caution against dancing with an injury.

I once did something similar, I was auditioning for a play, and I had to do a front flip onto a mat, and a hurt my elbow the week before. It was still hurt apparently, because as I was landing (from a wooden desk about 4/ft off the ground) I pit my arms out to help land. let's just say I didn't get the part after a short stream of curses.
