Today, I was kicking my soccer ball with my father. My mom pulled out in the car without checking and ran into to me. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, after soccer practice I was looking for my dad. Last night he was an hour late, so I was pretty pissed. When I spotted him, I saw him flirting with a much younger woman. I then tried throwing my soccer ball to his feet, but ended up slamming his head. Only to find out he wasn't my dad. FML
ARE YOU ******* SORRY?
Today, I was playing one on one soccer with a girl like. I accidentally kicked the ball right into her face. The ball rolled back towards me and as I was running to see if she was ok, I kicked the ball… right into her face again. FML
Two in one
Today, I accidentally crashed my mom's car into my dad's car. FML
Today, I was out jogging. As I took a rest to have a drink of water, a car pulled onto the sidewalk and bumped into me. Not just any car; my dad's car. He then drove away. FML
Today, I was practicing soccer at my school. My team was practicing penalty kicks. It was my turn up and this cute girl that I like was watching off ten feet away from the goal. I was running to take the kick when I slipped and kicked the ball. It hit her head and now she won't talk to me. FML
Today, while in the car with my mom, she gave me a lecture about how bad of a driver I am. During that process she ran a red light and hit a car. FML
Headshot
Today, I was walking around in a park when I passed some kids playing soccer. One of them kicked the ball as hard as he could at me. Luckily, I caught the ball, then I drop-kicked it, intending to say, "Go get it." Instead, it bounced off a nearby tree and hit me in the face. FML
Today, I was sitting on a fence watching a friend play soccer. He accidentally kicked the ball at my face and made me fall off the fence into mud. I laughed it off and got back on the fence. Two seconds later he did the same exact thing. I fell wrong and slammed my face into the fence. Pain. FML
Today, a soccer ball hit my car while I was going 75 mph on the freeway during my drive home. I still don't know how to explain it. FML
Powerful left foot
Today, I saw a father and son playing football in a car park as I was on my way to work. The ball rolled towards me, so feeling nice, I kicked it back to them. Turns out it went straight through their car window. FML

Well at least you're ok. I hope your mother apologized and hopefully it won't happen again

That's completely irresponsible of her... She should get in some serious trouble for such reckless driving. I hope you're okay though!

I hate it when people run "into to me"

Are you sure she didn't mean to do that.

Whether she meant to do it or not, it's still irresponsible nonetheless, #7.

If she did it on purpose then she should still get in trouble. And for much worse than just reckless driving.

I don't think she's going to get into legal troubles for hitting her own son. Why would her son press charges?

Something very similar to this happened to a friend of mine in high school, although it wasn't his mother who hit him, but instead his older sister. She knew he was there and told him to move, but when he tried saying "hang on a sec" she just started going. He ended up getting seriously injured, having to use a wheelchair for over a year, eventually able to start using crutches, and now he used a cane. He might have to use that cane for the rest of his life. And with all that time in the hospital and in physical therapy, he missed an entire school year, and graduated a year late. I know his sister got in trouble, but I'm not sure what kind of trouble..

I must admit: I briefly paused at "mom pulled out." But yes, negligent driving yields terrible accidents fairly often. Hopefully, you aren't seriously injured.

You should've paused again to realize that you need to grow up

It's something called "juvenile humor."

I note that you didn't say "accidentally ran into me"...

Were you playing in the parking lot? It's still her fault but it seems a little odd

I'm not sure why you're being downvoted for this -- it's a legitimate question. Drivers are responsible for watching where they're going, but people playing around moving cars also need to be aware of the cars and of staying out of their path.

Sounds like they were playing in their driveway. Which in a lot of places is a spot were kids play. Or people might cross, or walk up if they were going to your house. OP was playing with their dad, I would assume this isn't the first time, but even if it's not a regular thing, the driver always has to observe their surroundings.

Agreed, of course, #23 -- but if you're playing in a driveway and a car in that garage/driveway/carport/whatever starts, and are old enough to be posting on FML, why wouldn't you get out of the way?

One of you might be short...

That's a penalty and a red card offence by mom.

You know, my mom ran over my bike when I was a kid, and I was pretty bummed about that, but usually she told me to get the **** out of the way before she got in the car...
