Today, I was in the shower 'grooming' myself for my second anniversary with my boyfriend. Halfway through the hot water ran out. I now have the choice of going with the low 'half-fro' or risking hypothermia. My boyfriend thinks hypothermia would be the better option. FML
Collection
Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, my boyfriend turned down a shower with me because he didn't want to get his hair wet. FML
Today, due to plumbing issues, I had to choose between a goosebump-inducing cold or skin-blistering hot shower. This is the 7th day in a row. My husband says it shouldn't be more than another week before he "gets it figured out". FML
Big Baby
Today, I flushed the toilet while my boyfriend was showering. He responded by throwing a huge fit, saying how if he “gets a cold” from being “forced” to shower in cold water, I’m gonna “have to stay home and take care of him until he’s better.” FML
Today, my boyfriend pointed out that the water bill is getting kind of high. I suggested that we shower together to save water. He said he'd rather deal with the high water bill. FML
Today, my flatmate took his hour plus long shower while we both tried to get ready for work. I had a choice to wet myself or pee in a cooking pot. I chose the pot. FML
Today, the heating in my house broke down. I called my boyfriend and asked if I could stay at his place until I could get it fixed. He said no, and told me my overgrown leg hair would keep me warm. FML
Today, I passed out in the shower with my boyfriend. He just left me there. FML
Soap opera
Today, the water cut out while I was showering, covered in soap and shampoo. I had to rinse with freezing cold drinking water from the fridge. As soon as I'd dried off, the water supply got restored. FML
Today, I turned the shower on the hottest setting so it would warm up quickly. I started to sing and dance around the bathroom. I got too carried away and pelvic thrusted the water, which I hadn't turned back down. FML
Today, I had a planned 12-hour power cut for maintenance work, which I'd forgot all about. In need of a shower before work, I spent 45 minutes boiling pots of water on the stove to take a lukewarm, 6-inch deep bath, before realizing my water heater runs on natural gas and was working fine. FML

maybe wait a few minutes for the water to heat up, or tell him to deal with it.

An 'anniversary' with your boyfriend is not important -- an anniversary with your husband would actually mean something.

You can't tell people what things should mean to them. no need to be such an ass

Yeah, not everybody is idiotic enough to need a piece of paper to declare their love for somebody. If we actually felt the need to celebrate them, an anniversary with my boyfriend would be just as meaningful as if we decided to get married. Unless you are actually religious, marriage is an outdated ritual that is now focused on the material "princess" desires of young women and 9 times out of 10 will put ridiculous financial strain on a relationship. A ring and a piece of paper does not show commitment. Ask the 50% of marriages that ended in divorce, and the other massive chunk who stay married but continue adulterous practices.

Yeah... it's actually a lot less than 1 in 2. Nice try, though.

Hypothermia? Don't be a *******. One time I had to take a cold shower in the winter because power was out for a week, damn power lines downed. The only body wash I had at the time had menthol in it, and I did it anyway and lived, I didn't even get sick. MAN UP, WIMP.

Actually, she COULD get hypothermia from a cold shower. Especially in the winter, with city water, the cold tap is often just barely above freezing. But still, YDI cause you could just get out, dry off, and wait a half hour for the hot water tank to be full of hot water again so you can finish. It's not that complicated. I have a problem with our hot water running out before I can finish in the winter too (since the cold water is so much colder, it takes more hot water to keep a warm shower with a high enough water pressure). But I solved that problem by getting a shower pause switch... you just attach it to the pipe coming out of the wall, and then attach your shower head to that. Then, you can switch the water on and off without having to readjust the temperature each time. That way, I can run the water only when I need to (rinsing) and turn it off when I'm soaping up. That way I can make it through an entire shower... hair washing, shaving, etc... without ever running out of hot water.

Plus you conserve water.

I didn't know such pause-switches existed, but that's really useful. :D

Stop being such a high maintenance whiner. You're not going to freeze to death shaving your ******. Besides, isn't your man worth it? If you expect some good lovin, put a little effort into it. YDI

Who cares if she let her pubes grow into a fro. Obviously her boyfriend didn't care at the time, so why he is acting out now, is beyond me.
