Today, I was going through my mom's closet. On one of the shelves, I found two baby books. One was mine, the other was one for a dog she owned before I was born. I looked through them both. The dog's baby book was filled out more than mine was. FML

Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Today, my mom found a box full of stuff she had been looking for. She started going through it and found baby pictures of my sister and me, as well as pictures of the cats. She put my baby pictures back in the box and closed the lid. The cat pictures are now hanging in her living room. FML
Today, I found my diary on my mother's nightstand. Bookmarked. FML
Today, I realized that there are more framed pictures of my mom's dog than pictures of me around the house. FML
Today, I was perusing my mom's Facebook when I noticed that she has an album of pictures for each member of the family. All except me. Even the dog has his own album. FML
Today, I found one of my mom's old diaries that dated back to my infant days. I couldn't help but read a little. I'm now in great concern over how many times my mom wrote that she wanted to dunk me in the toilet or throw me against a wall. FML
Today, I found out my dad has a folder full of baby pictures and things that I drew when I was younger, labeled, "Shit from when Annie was cute." FML
Today, I found my long lost diary and curiously read it. What's worse than finding out that your mother read your diary? Finding out that your mother wrote comments in it. FML
Today, I rummaged around in the attic, looking for old pictures of me and my family, so I could make a surprise collage. Instead, I found my dad's old journals, talking about how desperately he didn't want a kid, and how he wanted to leave my mother more and more every day that passed since I was born. FML
Today, my 4 year old daughter was ripping out photos of the family photo book, I asked her why she was doing it she answered, "I saw mummy doing it to another book." The only other family photo book was the day we got married. FML
Today, my class got baby dolls for the week to teach us how to be good parents. After school, I went to the store with my mom with the baby doll. When I got home, I realized that I left the baby doll in a shopping cart. FML

Your FML seems to be that she loved the dog more, but in reality, she spent more of her time after you were born interacting with you, instead of filling out a stupid scrapbook.

Just because she filled out the dogs book more then yours doesn't mean all that much. At least your mother took the time, and you should realize there's more to life then a couple dozen photographs. Also, babies aren't the same as dogs, meaning that babies are more demanding and (should) require more time and effort then a pet. I don't think this is really an FML.

YDI for being so damn sensitive. It takes a lot more effort caring for a baby than a puppy. She probably was umm..I dunno FEEDING you, BATHING you, taking care of you and didn't have time to update the book as much. Some people don't even have baby books. Get over it, or the "real world" is gonna be a real kick in the ass for you hun.

It depends on what type of dog she had. I mean, if it was just a mutt and that happened, I'd be upset. But if it's a chihuahua? Well, that's self-explanatory cause chihuahua's are the cutest.things.ever.

She probably wasn't too busy with the dog. When you were a baby, she probably spent more time with you and helping you grow up instead of taking pictures and remembering events. A lot of people (including myself), don't even have a baby book. It's not a big deal

once you have a kid you wont have time, before you she had timem to do it for the dog and underestimated the amount of time taking care a child would take
