Today, I was excited when I saw a missed call. It wasn't my ex-boyfriend finally willing to talk, it was the creepy guy I met on the bus in November who I haven't seen since but has written me poetry. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was so lonely I called my stalker ex-boyfriend. He was too busy to talk. FML
Never forget
Today, I received the only love letter I've ever gotten. Too bad it's from the guy who's been stalking me. FML
Confused?
Today, I received 5 missed calls from a florist stating that they were having problems delivering a bouquet from my ex. I was thrilled at the idea of a reconciliation. Turns out however that he just got mine and his new girlfriend's phone numbers confused. FML
Today, my creepy, stalker ex-girlfriend was given an anonymous love letter. She's convinced it's from me. FML
Today, I got a call from the guy I have been seeing. I wasn't him. It was his wife wondering why I have her husband's number. FML
High hopes
Today, on the train, I got excited when I suddenly noticed I had a missed call and voicemail from a boy I liked. With a grin on my face, I told my friend. My dad overheard and said, "Oh sweetie, he probably had the wrong number." The voicemail was blank. I texted him. The call was indeed an accident. FML
Today, I received an email from an ex who I haven't heard from in two years. Excited that it might be her asking if we could meet up, I opened it. It was a virus. FML
Straight to jail
Today, I found out the person who's been stalking and harassing me online was actually my now ex-boyfriend. He only confessed as I finally picked up the phone to report it to the police. He basically said he wanted me to turn to him for comfort and protection, so he could "feel like a man". FML
Today, I called one of my old coworkers to see how she was doing. My boyfriend answered the phone. FML
Today, after many weeks of talking to this guy over the phone for hours on end and establishing that we both had feelings for the other, we met in person. He saw me, got an "emergency text," and hasn't talked to me since. FML

Well if you gave him your mobile number then YDI. If however he is stalking you and thats how he got your number then FYL indeed. The first seems more likely so I'm going to go with YDI

I agree. Don't give out your number and then complain that he's calling you. If a girl gives a guy her number he generally thinks that she is interested so he will probably call. YDI.

I don't understand why women cling to this ideal that nothing is ever "over." You seem creepier than the guy who's randomly calling you... IF you gave him your number you should expect a phone call b/c you showed interest, at least in his eyes. Date the creepy guy b/c your ex is cleary done with you.

See, I never get that argument, especially since everyone would react differently if it were a guy instead of a girl. Think about it. If you've been going out with someone for a while and you really like/love them, and then they break up with you, you're not going to say, "Oh, okay! Guess I'll move on now! Wait, why am I here? And who the hell are you?" You're going to say, "Oh, okay..." while trying to hide your feelings of intense sadness. You'll probably be sad for weeks, months, even years, before you accept that it's over. It applies to every other negative change. It's going to take time before anyone can accept anything, isn't it? So is it really fair to call her out as a creep based on three lines of an anecdote? Also, do any of us really know, from the line, "it wasn't my ex-boyfriend willing to talk" absolutely anything about their relationship other than the fact that they went out, broke up, and she wants to talk to him? No, we don't. So contemplate any possible situation that you want, but don't go assuming things. /rant

Why would you give your number to a creepy guy on a bus?

You gave him your number. You deserve it.

@flyintonite: Please don't stereotype all women in saying that we cling on the ideal that nothing is "over" a few do. I am one of them. And the women who wrote this: A. Get over the fact that your ex doesn't want to talk. What good will come of it anyways? MOVE THE **** ON. B. Don't give people your number if you don't want them to contact you.

Well I'm pretty sure everyone must have asked you the same question, but why on Earth did the guy have your number?
