Today, after many weeks of talking to this guy over the phone for hours on end and establishing that we both had feelings for the other, we met in person. He saw me, got an "emergency text," and hasn't talked to me since. FML

Today, I met a guy online. We talked all night long and hit it off amazingly. He told me he'd never felt that way about anyone else, and I agreed. He sent me a picture and he was gorgeous. I sent him one after he assured me he didn't care what I looked like. I haven't heard from him since. FML
Today, after finally having the guts to confess to a guy I have liked for a year now and him saying he also likes me and then asking me out, I went out of my way and traveled 4 hours to meet him. He didn't show up and never apologized. I never heard anything from him. FML
Today, I was talking to a guy I've recently started developing feelings for. We've been talking for a while, but he revealed that he wasn't being serious with anything we've been talking about, and didn't have any feelings for me. FML
Today, I called the guy I've liked for a long time and told him how I felt. He didn't say anything except for "hello." After I spilled my feelings, I hear "Haha, just kidding I'm not here right now! Call me back later!" FML
Today, someone I used to know got in touch with me, after I hadn't heard from him in years. He insisted that we met up as soon as possible, and wanted me to go to his house that afternoon. I spent the afternoon repairing his computer. Since then, no news. FML
Today, I was on the phone to a guy I really like from work. We'd been talking for about 2 minutes, when he said he was getting another call, and put me on hold. I was so excited to be on the phone with him, it took me a whole 15 minutes to realise he had actually just hung up on me. FML
Today, after admitting he had feelings for me, my crush returned from out of town. He'd said that while he was gone, he'd meet people, but only think of me. He came back no longer single. He's known her for 4 days. We've known each other for 6 years. FML
Today, after weeks of being hounded to go out on a date with this guy, I finally found the time and invited him over, fully intending to hook up. He stood me up. FML
Today, the guy I have been seeing left town to visit his family for three weeks. A few hours later, he called me from the airport to say he is never coming back. FML
Today, the guy I've been flirting with for a week, and would be meeting in two days, sent me a message that he wouldn't be able to text me this evening because he'll be on a date. FML

Maybe it doesn't suck that much. Remember this happened today, so for a guy to not call the girl back TODAY isn't that big of a deal. If this really was an "emergency" then the OP would feel pretty stupid by now but most likely LOL it does suck.

If you were saying that because of my comment, I meant it more as, if she wrote it on the day that it happened, and I'm pretty sure that's the criteria for an FML, then she really didn't give the guy enough time to show if it was genuine. But like my last sentence, I also think that it being legit is highly unlikely. But I'm pretty sure the OP knows which one it is by now.

that happened to a friend of mine.. they talked on msn for a week or so, decided to meet, then the guy stayed at her place for 1 hour only, and after he was back home he blocked her.. and wrote a lameass email to make up excuses.

What if it really was an emergency text, and the reason she hasn't heard from him is because someone died? I know if I had a family member die, I would probably be too busy grieving for at least 2 weeks before thinking to call that person I had been on one date with.

I hate people who are like that. they only want you for your looks. if they had feelings for eachother before, they should still have feelings for eachother after they meet. the looks shouldn't matter, it their personality that should matter.
