Today, I walked outside to find my 3 year-old daughter and her pet fish playing together on the swings. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I let my 3-year-old daughter watch Finding Nemo on my phone while I made her lunch. I returned to find she had dropped my phone into the fish bowl so that her goldfish could see his friends. FML
Today, I saw my cat playing in the other room. Fascinated, I watched him for a few minutes before I realized he was playing with one of my daughter's fish. Well, what was left of it. FML
Today, my 3-year-old daughter put her grow-in-water salamander in my fish tank. The residue from the toy gummed up the filter and killed all the fish. FML
Today, my 3-year-old daughter ran with arms wide open towards me, smiling, only to pass me by and hug the gardener instead. FML
Today, I put my 5 month-old daughter in her swinging chair and walked into the kitchen to make her a bottle. When I came back, she was giggling because the dog was licking her face. It would have been cute, picture worthy even, if I actually had a dog. FML
Today, while at the public swimming pool, I gave my 2-year-old daughter a piggy back ride in the pool. We were having fun until I realized she had untied my swim top. FML
RIP in peace
Today, my daughter decided it was a good day to put a bath bomb in the aquarium so the fish could have a relaxing bath with cool pink water. She didn’t know the fish would end up being killed. She’s 16. FML
Apex predator
Today, after we finished making my 6 year-old daughter a net to catch an injured baby bird, when she went out to catch it she witnessed a stray cat catch and eat it. FML
Today, I watched Free Willy with my daughter. Later on she decided to free her 6 pet mice into the house. FML
Inappropriate
Today, I took my 5-year-old daughter to the play place at McDonald's but I had to keep her busy, instead of letting her play. A mom was teaching her 3-year-old daughter how to pole dance, using the play place's poles. FML

Maybe the tank or bowl should be placed somewhere the kid can't get it? I wouldn't trust a 3-year-old...

How do we know she is gillty? Shouldn't she have a court herring first?
ElricMustang 23
Coming from the girl who's drowned her fish? I have the feeling you had something to do with it

This comment is funny because of that quality pun. It's even funnier, however, because of your name.

I was honestly thinking of "Finding Nemo" with this reference

a sick bastard like her doesn't deserve a trial...

A court herring doesn't sound like a reel good idea.

Oops, better lock the cats and dogs up, they're un-trustable.

I'm hoping the fish was in it's bowl of water.

I wish what was the case. But then if it was, there wouldn't have been this FML here would it?

Sounds like she needs a playmate OP. Her heart will break when she realizes what has happened to her friend.

Quietly replace the fish tonight.

What he said ^

I feel sorry for her. The pain of losing a pet fish is unbearable!
ShowMeKay 20
I don't think quietly replacing the fish is a good idea. OP needs to teach their daughter that fish need to stay in water to survive.. Otherwise they might end up with a marine serial killer who doesn't even realize it :/

I'm so torn about this. On the one hand, I feel like the child should be taught the proper care of fish to avoid any other mishaps. On the other hand, I can't imagine how she would react to finding out she killed her own pet! I imagine she'll be extremely upset.
DraconicFeline 31
43 is definitely in the right here. It might break her heart to learn that she killed her own pet, but it'll certainly keep her from doing it a second time.

That sounds fishy. Pun intended

Pun failed. Keep trying Siamese Fighter.

Don't worry. You still get an A for effort. If you feel like you have a brilliant have a pun in mind, don't be koi. Take advantage of the oppor-tuna-ty and take a shot at it.
noobienick 19
If you didn't tell us that the pun was intended, I don't think we would have known.

Hope the fish is okay!

Yep, the fish evolved, developing lungs just in time. Mr. Gold, as the fish likes to be called, now teaches lectures at Harvard and writes books in defense of darwinism and evolution.
