Today, I drove 120 miles to spend a few days with my girlfriend. Less than 12 hours into my stay, she dumped me. FML
Today, my girlfriend of 6 years broke up with me. Why? I was late for our date. We arrived at the restaurant together. FML
Today, I told my girlfriend I loved her. She left and never came back. FML
Today, my girlfriend threatened to break up with me because I crossed the street without holding her hand. FML

Today, I flew cross-country to see my girlfriend of three years. Once I got there, she broke up with me. I was supposed to be staying for a month and now I have nowhere to go. FML

And how often did she make the effort to visit you? It goes both.ways and if she knows it's difficult for you to actually see her at her place, where's her compromise? It seems she jumped the gun before finding alternatives which leads me to believe there's really a different reason. Go find someone else who will appreciate you more.
