Today, I sat to the right of a girl I really like. I passed her a note asking her to homecoming. She read it, then hurriedly passed it to a hideous girl sitting on her left, who said yes, then hugged me. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I passed the girl I like a note asking her out, signed Mark H. She picked it up, read it, turned around and asked me, "Do you know who Mark H. is?" FML
Today, I was going to ask this girl I love to homecoming. I set up a scavenger hunt, and my friend led her through it. At the end of the scavenger hunt I had a note that said, "Homecoming?" She said yes and hugged my friend. When I told her it was me who was asking, she laughed and said no. FML
And they call it puppy love…
Today, I gathered the courage and wrote a love letter to put in the girl I like's school bag, at the end of classes. I felt anxious for a response. Her bag turned out to be her cousin's, and I became a joke in the classroom. FML
Today, a classmate came up to me, quickly shoved a dollar bill down my shirt, threw her arms around me and told me to pretend I was her boyfriend to avoid some other guy. Sad thing is, this is the first girl I've hugged in ages. FML
Today, I found out that the girl I've been in love with for a long while got back together with her ex boyfriend because he had confessed his true feelings to her through a note in her locker. It was my note. FML
You IDIOT
Today, I was approached by the head cheerleader, and she asked for my number. I was so excited that I gave it to her without question. Then she smiled, and walked away. Too bad my girlfriend was right behind me when it happened. FML
Today, I got asked to Homecoming by the person I really like. I said yes and I was really excited. But my best friend who has liked me since the 6th grade wasn't. He went and broke my date's jaw. FML
Today, a cute girl was walking towards me. She held up her hand for a high five, so I also did the same. I hadn't noticed her friend behind me, and was left hanging and embarrassed. FML
Today, I found a note in my locker from a really hot guy asking me to prom. I went up to him saying how excited I was to go. He said "Oh you got the note?" and slipped it into the locker next to me. FML
Unforgettable
Today, I went out to lunch with two old friends from high school. While at the restaurant, we saw a girl who we graduated with. The girl gave both of them hugs, then introduced herself to me. FML

so its wrong to think a girl is unattractive? so do you say "yes" to every guy who asks you out, and you wouldn't dare call a guy ugly or unattractive? I hate this double standard where whiny fat girls say "ALL WOMEN ARE BEAUTIFUL HOW DARE YOU NOT SAY YES!!" but have no problem gossiping about the ugly guy that just tried to ask your friend out. sorry but this isn't a perfect world of flowers and butterflies and unicorns where every girl is a princess.

I think might be the only person who's ok with OP using a note. From jr. high through after college, I always got nervous when asking a girl out verbally to the point of saying something dumb, strange, or just developing a nervous stutter and got rejected just like if I used a note. The note just gets your point across quicker. Online dating is just a slightly more advanced way of sending a note and is, incidentally, how I met my wife. As for all the people saying he should take out the "hideous" girl, why should he? If he wanted to be her friend, he probably already would be so. He's wouldn't be a jerk for not wanting to go with her. Someone said it best already with the popular girl dating the nerd double standard anology. I'll attempt to clarify based on my casual observations of guys as a guy. Excluding family (hopefully), women fall into 2 camps for guys: 1. Women we find attractive deep down on some level. 2. Women we don't who are associated with us through friends, school, work, etc. Women in group 2 may be nice enough people to hang out with, but we'd rather not do it in a date-like/1 on 1 setting b/c it makes us feel a little awkward. Again, just a completely unprofessional observation that I'm not trying to make into a statement on every guy's feeling/opinion and the reason I feel the OP shouldn't feel guilty about not wanting to take a girl he's not attracted to.

Well maybe that will teach you to stop judging people by their looks, you stuck up snot. That other girl has feelings too, and not only that, but pretty-girl thinks you're ugly, AND your personality sucks, so you're the worst off out of tr three of you!

What if the girl you liked knew that the ugly girl secretly had a crush on you and thought the note was for her and you're just a jerk for liking girls based on looks?
