Today, I met the girl who dumped me because the distance between us was too great. We're in the same city again. She's now dating a Marine in Iraq. FML

Today, I went to the airport to pick up my long-distance boyfriend. Having waited six months for this, I was stoked. After waiting for three hours and sending numerous messages, I was eventually informed I was a week early. FML
Today, my wife and I both spent a weekend away separately with our close friends. However, we ran into each other, unplanned, at the airport. She was with her girls and I was with my girlfriend. FML
Today, I went to pick up my long-distance boyfriend at the airport. It has been over six months since I last saw him and four days since I last heard from him. He never showed up. FML
Today, I met my wife's other husband. FML

Maybe she wanted to have a threesome with you both? But yeah, that must have hurt OP. Just one reason why I'm not a fan of long distance relationships. I'm sure some work, but I've only ever heard bad stories. Well, look at it this way. Now you are free to find someone closer to home to date.

900 miles (~1448 km metric peeps) isn't THAT far. Far enough though. Not an excuse for her to mislead you like that. It will be okay in time. I hope you're not one to give up.
