Today, I lost a sewing needle in the carpet. No worries, my big toe found it. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found the special needle I needed yesterday for a school biology project. I found it by walking around barefoot at 5 am. FML
Today, I tried to get a piece of glass out of my big toe. After an hour of poking and prodding, I finally got it out only for it to fall on the floor where I couldn't find it. Not five minutes later, I stepped on it again. FML
Today, I finally found the jewelry my two-year-old son had lost when it got lodged in my foot. FML
Today, I dropped my knitting project while I was sitting down, but I managed to catch it between my legs. So my knitting needles also caught me. FML
Today, I returned home after a long day of work. I noticed that my kitten had gotten a hold of my pin cushion, and that there were no needles left in it. My husband and I have only managed to find one, out of 16. FML
Today, I broke my little toe. It got stuck in my panties as I struggled to get a leg through. FML
Sole music
Today, a thumb tack came out of one of my posters on my wall. The sole of my foot had the pleasure of finding it. FML
Today, I found my missing shoe. It hit me as it fell out the tree in our front yard. FML
Today, while cleaning a carpet in my house, something in it sliced my foot. I couldn't find what it was, so I went to clean the wound. 10 minutes later, I sliced my foot again on the same thing. I still can't figure out what it was. FML
Today, I found my old sewing machine I got when I was a kid. I never used it before, because when I was younger, I was afraid I might sew my fingers. Laughing at myself, I decided to sew up an old bag. I sewed my thumb. FML

Good thing it was a needle. Now you're prepared for stitches.

I feel your pain one time I lost a toothpick in the carpet and found it when it lodged itself halfway into my heel. Hope your toe is ok

Keep a Neodymium magnet on a string nearby. They are very powerful, and I once used on to get a very tiny (and very important) screw out of my carpet.

Yup, when working with needles and pins, having a good magnet wand or on a string is pretty much a safety 101.

Ouch. Been there before. I hope it wasn't one of those huge needles.

Is it just me or everyone wondering how it fell vertically and not horizontal in the carpet?!
