Today, I learned where my mom's "special hiding spot" that I'll "never find" for the Halloween chocolate is, when I preheated the oven to make cookies. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Sorry sweaty
Today, I discovered a drawer full of chocolates, cookies and baked goods in my house. When I asked my sister what the drawer was, she told me that my mom thought it would be a good idea to hide the fattening foods from me. My entire family had known about the food drawer, except me. FML
Today, I found out that I'm not actually allergic to chocolate, when my mom freely admitted to me that she made it up when I was a child because she didn't want to share any cookies with me. FML
Today, after 30 minutes of pre-heating the oven to make a special meatloaf for my husband's birthday, I remembered that I had hidden the cake in there. FML
Today, I made my mom cookies for Mother's Day. My brother took all the cookies to work as a snack, because I didn't specifically tell him that the homemade "MOM" hearts weren't meant for him. FML
Today, I learned to check inside the oven before you preheat it. Sometimes children hide their pet rabbit in there. FML
Non confrontational
Today, I snuck into my aunt's house while she was working to raid her pantry, like I do most days. Excited for a snack cake, I went to the pantry. Apparently she'd found out, because there was a lock on it. FML
Today, my mom walked into my room to talk to me. I was surprised because we don't talk much. I was left with a smile on my face after she left, until I realized she'd stolen all the candy on my desk while I wasn't looking. FML
Today, I woke up and decided to make my mom a special Easter breakfast in bed. I pre-heated the oven to bake the sausage just the way she likes. Guess where my easter basket was. FML
The sleepwalkers are at it again!
Today, my mom told me she’d never forgive me for eating her birthday candy. I ate it in my sleep. FML
Today, I woke up early and spent hours baking and icing a three-tier cake for my friend's eighteenth birthday, which is this evening. I just found out my mother threw it in the compost bin because she's on a diet and it was "tempting" her. FML

Indeed, Mr Goodthrust.

In hindsight, that may have been a poor choice of words.

Hey #4, ever been tied to a chair while a guy in a ski mask dances around you with a dull key hole saw while listening to Huey Lewis? I'm getting me some chocolate.

Its a prejudice spin-off of "Americans" If he is American by no means does he represent all of us.

Why the hell does your mother hide the chocolate? Doesn't she realise that makes it harder to eat? Unless it's white chocolate. That isn't even chocolate. **** that shit.
Welshite 40
Dark chocolate is like a gift from the gods.
DocBastard 40
You're damn right it is.

Oh the discrimination. Oh the irony.
RedPillSucks 33
I'm missing both the discrimination and the irony... We're talking about chocolate, right?
SixthSinEnvy 39
Yes, I mean chocolate. It was a train of thought joke. Figured it would be down-voted anyway.
Silvinomiae 20
No. The talk is about religion now. Delicious religion.
Ramanella 26
Oh hell no! Dark chocolate was sent from the deepest pits of hell for old people to give, also mixing it with everything you can think of from nature! White chocolate was sent from the heavens to mix well with milk chocolate!
BradyT918 9
Dark chocolate isn't LIKE a gift from The Lord. It IS a gift from God. And white chocolate is actually bad for you.
spiritfang11237 16
So Dark chocolate is from heaven and white chocolate is from hell? So dark chocolate is heaven-sent and white chocolate is sinfully good? Where does milk chocolate come from. Mmmm....chocolate
SlapAndTickle 20
#109 Have a seat on my lap and I shall tell you the secret of milk chocolate. See, when one dark chocolate likes a white chocolate...
stephers444 17
I hope all the chocolate didn't melt and get ruined. If it did then what a waste of perfectly good chocolate.
laden_swallow09 35
Think about it: OP preheated the oven. Preheated. That means it had to have been around 250°F before she realized what was going on. Chocolate melts at 86°. That's why it melts when you hold it in your hand too long. Blind idealism never helped anybody. So, yes, it was a waste of perfectly good chocolate.

Exactly how much of the FML did you read?

Please marry rich, because you sure as hell won't be making money from your intelligence.

Your mom doesn't sound like the brightest person, though mine isn't either

OP's mom is a Derpasaurus. Who stores chocolate in an oven? Might as well keep a raw turkey in there too.
RedPillSucks 33
Someone who thinks the oven NEVER gets used. It's a slam on OPs cooking skills, or perceived lack, thereof.
Paradoxxxx 16
That's a pretty sweet hiding spot lol i'd never think to check there
jerryj 27
I doubt many people would have looked in there. Lucky it was Halloween and the goods were chocolate. Imagine if it were Christmas or a birthday. Melted ps4 or kitten anyone?
ViktoriaaKills 13
why would you hide a kitten in an oven...?
sufiaz 7
im more interested in knowing HOW you could hide a kitten in an oven? what a ruckus it would kick up there :)
jerryj 27
True, but the magic is kind of gone if the melted chocolate is mixed with wrappers.
