Today, I had to explain to my 35-year-old husband that "Honda" and "Hyundai" are two separate car companies, not to two different pronunciations of the same one. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
The more you know
Today, I learned that I've been saying a word wrong my whole life and all my friends have been too polite to correct me, when I found out that "Segue" and "Segway" are pronounced the same. FML
Mr Mad
Today, my husband got angry at me, only because I addressed him by his own name. FML
Today, I had to explain to my boyfriend that a tornado is not the same thing as a hurricane. I couldn't convince him, and he still won't talk to me. FML
Seeged
Today, I found out that the word "segue" is pronounced like the "Segway" brand. Unfortunately, I found this out as I was giving a speech, which someone interrupted to correct me. I'm a 41 year-old salesman. FML
Confused
Today, after 26 years of confusion with my parents pronouncing it different ways, and in my mom's case, multiple ways, having to clear up how it's spelled every time I meet someone, I asked my mom how to pronounce my name. She got mad and then pronounced it three different ways while explaining. FML
Today, my husband changed the voice on my car's GPS to Mr T's. I don't know how to change it back. I've been saying, "I pity the fool" over and over again ever since. FML
Exhaustion
Today, during a phone call, I broke down in tears because I was asked to spell my last name. It’s sixteen letters long and hyphenated, and I always end up having to spell it twice because they never get it right the first time. I’m tired. FML
Red flag
Today, I explained to my husband how much it bothers me when he constantly talks about one of his coworkers. He listened closely, never interrupted me, and seemed genuinely sorry afterwards. While he was consoling me and telling me that he'll stop, he called me by her name… three different times. FML
Bizarre love triangle
Today, I realised that the man who I wanted to be with, the man who wanted to be with me, and my husband were three different people. FML
Steve? Pete?
Today, I found out that I've been calling my boyfriend's dad by the wrong name for the past two years. No one had told me sooner because they liked laughing at me for it when I wasn't around. FML

Well I don't really blame him. I did think that too when I was about 5 years old.

If you think this is divorce worthy.. good luck on your future relationships..

Hoping 4 was sarcastic.
Dave_Davington 34
Sarcasm would be reasonable, but then again, considering how much FML commenters love to call for break up/divorce over the most trivial bullshit, it could well be genuine.

Seriously? If you think this is what people divorce over I'd like to know what you think people should stay for...

I'm so bad with car models that this is something I just learned thanks to FML. Saving me from embarrassment if I ever have to use Hyundai in a conversation or when/if I try to get my own car. Thanks FML for saving a life

First thing I thought too! With this being FML, I believe this IS the "go too" response.

Well when one is mentioned, i automatically think of the other. I never heard of hyundai until years back and i honestly thought honda just changed their name. Seems silly but there can be worse mistakes

*says quietly* Different spelling too... Maybe he was thinking that Honda was American? And Hyundai foreign?
Mauskau 36
Both are Asian brands. Americans say "Hyundai" as "hoon-dye" instead of "hi-un-dye" so that could be what caused the confusion.
hopsinlove17 26
It's pronounced hun-day like sundae(:
DoomedGemini 38
Honda is also actually pronounced different in Japan I believe, it's not really unreasonable.
imabat 14
even still they're both imports. I'd actually be more ashamed if that's what he was thinking.
Delta329 13
"Hyundai" is Japanese and is pronounced "Hyoon-dye" over there. Us Westerners tend to pronounce it "Hun-day."
Delta329 13
Hyundai is Korean, my bad. I've no idea about Korean pronunciation. Sorry for wasting your time.
Ladisa 28
#59, Hyundai is indeed Korean. 현대 would be properly transliterated as Hyeondae or Hyundae. However, I have no English example to compare the pronunciation to.

Wow. And I thought my husband not being able to drive my stick shift was bad. No, that wasn't an innuendo.
DoomSkuller 28
Would be one hot innuendo

Waiting to see how someone justifies divorce on this fml
americanafrican 32
Someone already tried to say divorce. Amazing what people will end relationships for
rhiannonleesarah 14
Considering Honda is Japanese and Hyundai is Korean they are totally the same company. #sarcasm
Lalala579121 28
Because clearly people who know this little about cars would still know what nationality they are, right?
Bojack_fml 10
This is such a fun misunderstanding.
