Today, after countless nights spent together and flirty texts, I decided ask my crush on a date while at a party. We went on a walk and held hands. Just as I asked him, he said no, let go of my hand and briskly walked away. He was my ride home. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I went on a date to the movies with this guy I kinda like. When he was driving me home, he asked me to be his girlfriend; I said I couldn’t because it was really bad timing. He kicked me out of the car, called me an asshole, and made me walk home. FML
Confused
Today, I was going to walk up to my crush, kiss him, and tell him how I felt. We are already kind of touchy with each other, so I thought he liked me back. I walked up to him and kissed him. He kissed me back, then gently pushed me away. He quietly whispered, "I'm gay." Then walked away. FML
Today, I went on a date. We met in the parking lot of a restaurant. As I approached his car he took one look at me, said "Nope", and drove off. FML
That went well
Today, the girl I've had a crush on decided she wanted to see a movie with me. I tried to hold her hand during the movie and it was great for about four minutes. Then she said, "Can I have my hand back?" FML
Today, I went to a haunted hayride with my crush and friends. I got scared and screamed so he put his arm around me and hugged me. I took this as a good sign and leaned in. Turns out his friend was handing him something and he wasn't putting his arm around me. FML
Backfire
Today, I went on a romantic date to the mountains to look a stars with a boy I just met. We started kissing and he stopped, asking if it was rude for him to take me home now. After getting dropped off, he texted me saying we could never do that again and we should never talk about it. FML
Let's not do this again someday
Today, I went on what I thought was a solo outing with my longtime crush. He decided to invite a friend along. I had to pick her up half an hour away from town, he treated her to the movie we were watching while I had to pay for myself, he fingered her in the theatre, and made out with her on the drive home. FML
Another "nice guy" bites the dust
Today, my friend and I went to dinner. At the end, he told me that he’s had feelings for me for a while and wants to be more than friends. I don’t see him that way, so I tried to gently reject him and wanted us to stay friends. He stiffed me with the bill and said, “You can walk home then, buddy!” FML
Today, I told my crush, who I've liked for a while, that I liked him. He looked at me in pure terror and walked away. FML
Today, I went to a party to see my crush. He offered me a drink and I declined telling him that I don't drink because alcohol makes people act stupid and crash their cars. He then saw me back into a car parked on the street and shatter my backlights as I reversed from the driveway to go home. FML

Even if I were to reject someone, I'd have the decency to drive them home. You don't just let someone walk home alone. That's damn cold.

Clearly you could do much better, OP. I'm sorry that things didn't work out!

This is why i have trust issues. Sometimes we fall for people who turn out to be insensitive assholes who just use people. It happened to me once but i got over it, you'll find someone eventually OP

And that, my dears, is what we call a fuckboy. Sorry OP. Our generation sucks.
lex1459 38
Sadly being rejected like that isn't really anything new or unique to our generation.
cheeeksss 29
Soooo, our entire generation sucks based off this one particular douche?

I was assuming "countless nights spent together" means they were sexually involved. While "friends with benefits" have likely always existed, it seems particularly common in the millennial generation to have no problem sleeping with someone, but heaven forbid there be feelings, actual dating, or commitment. And before you say I'm just bitter, I'm in a relationship with a wonderful man (granted, he is generation x).

Countless nights spent together doesn't necessarily mean having sex, not everyone in this generation is spoilt

Nah you're bitter.

Why is your comment hidden? You are very right lol

Really generational stereotyping is the right thing to do here? Anybody else notice OP didn't give us an age for her or her crush? I mean the assumption being made here is completely ludicrous.

Statistically speaking the millennial generation is substantially LESS promiscuous than previous generations.

Yeah, I hate it when people shirk their driving responsibilities.

What a jerk. He could have at least driven you home before dissing you. I'm sorry op, it's obvious he wasn't a good guy for you.
A07 48
He should have atleast had the decency to drop you home

Don't let it bother you OP! Move on and live life to the fullest..
A07 48
By move on you mean walk back home?
PotatoesAndCake 26
At least now you know what type of person he is

That's cold. He could've rejected politely or at least offered a ride home.

Speaking of cold, this FML is from Wisconsin. Winter is coming and OP has to walk home in the cold wind.

He was like, "Hehe, no"

what a tool.... he totally misled you by his actions.
gobiteme2 34
Why is he a tool, OP was the one that had the crush sounds like she was the one that went over board on this. It was a dick move on his part to leave her though.

They went overboard by interpreting classic signs of interest (flirting, holding hands, time alone together, etc) as...signs of interest? How is asking someone on a date going overboard?
