Today, I got my girlfriend to play Smash Bros Brawl with me. As it was her first time, I set up handicaps to give her at least a shot at winning. She won, quite handily. A little irritated at this, I took off the handicaps and tried again. She beat me even faster. FML

Today, my girlfriend thought she was stronger than me so we arm wrestled. She won. I used both hands. FML
Today, I took a cute girl out to an arcade date, and mercilessly dominated her in every game there, to the point she refused to talk to me afterwards. Gamer Pride: 1 - Getting Laid: 0. FML
Today, my girlfriend beat me at ping pong, twenty to three. She said I let her win because I don't respect her, then stormed out of the room. I'm just really bad at ping pong. FML
Today, while playing badminton at school, I got an opponent who is mentally handicapped. Since I'm terrible at the game, I guess the teacher assumed it would be a good match. I won the match, my first victory ever. My teacher accused me of cheating to humiliate him. FML
Today, my ex-girlfriend came over to console me after a breakup. After beating me repeatedly in Mario Kart, she decided to leave. FML
Today, a friend wanted to show me a game he bragged he was the best at. I beat his score on the first try, and now I have a black eye to prove it. FML
Today, when I tried to play my new Switch, my girlfriend yelled at me to "put down the damn video games." I've barely had five minutes to use this thing without her bitching at me. The worst part? She gave it to me, for Christmas. FML
Today, I found out how hard a lemon is to the nuts when being hurled by an angry girlfriend for losing at Wii Sports. FML
Today, I was playing Mario Kart with my wife. I threw a blue shell and it hit her. She then refused to speak to me for three hours straight until right before bedtime when she called me a bastard and told me to sleep on the couch. FML
Today, I was savagely beating my wife on Call of Duty, since she demanded that I play normally and not hold back. 15 minutes later, she was raging at me, calling me a bastard and saying she wished we'd never married. FML

I feel like people are making too big of a deal about this. No where in the FML does it mention him thinking that girls are terrible at video games. How would you feel if someone said it's their first time playing a certain video game and they end up beating you? I'm not gonna lie, if that happened to me, I'd be a little irritated, too.

Don't be a sore loser op, look at it from this angle, at least you've got a girlfriend whose willing to game with you. I'd say that's a win/win. Only thing that could make it better is if she can kick your friends asses in COD.

Don't feel too bad. My boyfriend is an incredibly skilled gamer and beats me at every shooter we play, but I consistently kick his ass at Brawl no matter how much he tries. We all have our strengths and weaknesses. We tend to stick to co-op games when we play together, since we get a bit aggressively competitive otherwise. Judging by your attitude in this FML, you may want to do the same!
