Today, I got lost trying to find the hospital my sister was giving birth in. I stopped at a store to call my mom for directions. A cop pulled up beside me and knocked loudly on my window asking me to get out. The store had been robbed and I am now a suspect. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Help!
Today, I went to the store, but after I'd selected my items, I saw that I'd forgotten my wallet. When I tried to explain to the cashier, he thought that I was trying to steal and called the cops. My roommate had to come to the store to save me. FML
Today, my father told me to take the car and get some groceries. An hour and a half later, coming home with the groceries, I see the cops all around my house because my dad had called them, thinking that I had run away and stolen the car. FML
Suspicious activity
Today, I was walking my little sister home from the eye doctor. It was raining out so we were kind of in a hurry to get home. We get home and about half an hour later, the cops show up. Apparently, someone saw me walking my sister and called the cops on me thinking I was a child molester. FML
Today, I witnessed a robbery as a teenager ran out of a Walgreens with stolen goods in his hands. The manager was running after him. Trying to be helpful, I pulled forward to block the thief from getting away. The cops showed up and arrested me for hitting a pedestrian. FML
Today, I was accused of shoplifting, after the alarm started beeping as I walked into the store. FML
Today, the police came to my door and told me about a woman who called the cops on me because she said that I had been following her in my car. We were on the highway. FML
Confess!
Today, I hit a parked car and fled because I was so scared. Four hours later, the cops showed up at my house so I broke down crying confessing everything. Turns out, they weren't there about the car I hit. They were alerting me about the string of burglaries in my neighborhood recently. FML
The Wire
Today, I was delivering a pizza but I got the address wrong. When I got to the house, I was surrounded by police and put in handcuffs at the door. Turns out the wrong address I went to resulted in me interfering with some sort of sting operation. FML
Today, the police called because someone had turned in my wallet that was stolen. I happily drove home only to find that my house had been robbed and ransacked. FML
No good deed…
Today, I called the cops to let them know that a drunk man was driving dangerously down my road. About an hour later, I was going to the store and got pulled over for speeding by the cop I called. FML

why would being in your car by a store that was recently robbed make you a suspect? and if you didn't do it it dosent really matter

Same thing happened except it was my brother giving birth and I was asking my home phone for directions. I punched the cop, devoured his flesh, leaving no evidence, and drove his car to the hospital. The sirens cut my commute by 15 minutes and I delivered the baby by ripping it out of his stomach.

most stores have cameras, secondly, you don't have a cell phone?? no reason to stop at a store
FYLDeep 26
I'd assumed the OP had a cell when I saw the part about the cop knocking on the window. Doesn't sound like he was in the store at all.

I stopped at a store to make a call, why would it be important to stop at a store then?
FYLDeep 26
I'm guessing he just stopped cause he didn't know where the **** he was going. If you don't have a destination in mind there's no point to continue driving. The fact that he had stopped at a store wasn't important at all. He could have stopped on the of the road somewhere. He just happened to pick the store as a place to stop, probably because it was geographically convenient for where he was at the time. The only reason the store is worth mentioning is because it was robbed, and he happened to be right next to it. Every action the OP made seems completely logical to me.
FYLDeep 26
Sorry about the jumbled sentence. I meant that he could stop on the side of the road somewhere.

if you're worried about driving and talking just pull over, put on blinkers and make the call

Oof.

If you're driving around in an urban area, pulling into a parking lot is easier than trying to find a place in the street.

Not everyone talks on their cell phone while driving. Some people aren't reckless morons.
