The way I found out was pretty easy: We were balloon shopping for my fifth birthday party and I found that the closer I got to the balloons the harder it was to breathe. Next time I went to the dentist's, the closer HE got to me the harder it was to breathe. He figured it out and explained it to my mother. A blood test confirmed the allergy. It's when I come into CONTACT with latex that the sh!t hits the fan.

There is an easier way, you could get allergy testing.... I got mine done when i was like 8.

There's non latex condoms for a reason. Also if you're ever near a doctor tell then you're allergic and they'll use the non latex gloves. I also found out I was allergic the hard way. Not fun at all :(

You can get non latex condoms but the latex ones are the only ones that protect against STI's. You and your partner should get tested since you will be using another form of birth control
