Today, I found out that my dad has been having an affair. With my formerly favorite teacher. The best part? Yesterday, she announced to the class that she was pregnant. I clapped and congratulated her. FML

Today, I came home to find my dad crying. Turns out my parents are getting divorced because my mom had an affair. With a teacher at my school. A female teacher. And the school isn't going to fire her because she's a good teacher. Every day at school I'm going to have to see her. FML
Today, I found out I was named after the woman my dad was having an affair on my mom with. FML
Today, I found out my dad is dating my dead mom's best friend. FML
Today, I found out that I'm pregnant. I also found out that the dad has a fiancée. FML
Today, I found out that the girl who my high school boyfriend cheated on me with is now the woman my husband is having an affair with. FML
Today, I learned who my dad's new fiancée is. Upon meeting her she exclaimed, "My, I haven't seen you in a while!" She's my ex-boyfriend's mom. FML
Today, my dad told me he had been seeing someone for a while and has decided to marry her. When I met her, her son looked familiar. I lost my virginity to him. FML
Today, my Mom found out that I've been intimate with one of my best friends in the past. We used protection, it never went anywhere, and we ended it amicably, but she still gave me a huge lecture. Later, she high-fived and congratulated him. FML
Today, I just found out that my mom is cheating on my dad. I went to give my dad the evidence I'd gathered, and he just said he knew, and that he’s cheating on her. FML
Today, I discovered that my father is getting married. Overjoyed and confused because I didn't know he was dating, I called him up to congratulate him, and ask who she was. Apparently, his soon to be fiancée is my mother-in-law. My wife is not happy. FML

o_O I'd switch teachers, maybe if you explain to them your situation........ And can't the teacher get fired or something for having an affair with a married man [assuming he's in some kind of relationship] , especially a student's father?

It takes two to tango. YEah this sucks but her life outside the classroom is not the concern of the school board unless it infringes on her performance in the classroom. Does the teacher know it is one of her students parents? She did not approach Op and explain the situation, so perhaps she is a victim as well. Don't assume that people are always honest to the flings on the side. Op no matter how sucky this seems you will regret it if you do not take part in the life of your sibling. I think you have a right to be angry with your teacher, your father, and perhaps your school if they don't let you change classes, but the child is innocent in all this.

It will, technically, infringe on her performance in the school as she'll have to take maternity leave at some point. Not sure if that'd count though.
