Today, I found out my ex gave me an STI. Today I also found out I'm allergic to the medication. FML
Today, I found out I have genital herpes. I'm a virgin. FML
Today, I found out my long distance girlfriend gave me chlamydia, after I spent $1k to fly her out for a week. I paid for an STD delivery. FML
Today, while with my new boyfriend, my ex called to tell me I needed to go to the doctor to get checked out. He had gotten an STD from the girl he cheated on me with. FML
Today, my boyfriend told me that he may have an STD. When I asked who he was with before me, and where it might have come from, he listed off almost every single one of my friends. FML

I don't get why people are jumping to the cheating conclusion. I mean yes, it's a possibility, but it could also be that she just lied. If she lied, and it was a life-threatening one, though, you can take her to court for it.

I agree, unless you went on some strange second date where you both got tested, if she didn't show you the papers to say she's clean then you can't really rely on her statement. That said, it doesn't mean she intentionally lied, she could have honestly just not known. Especially if it's something like chlamydia, which often doesn't show symptoms in women.

Maybe her STD was in a non active state. Or maybe she did not get tested for all stds. Or maybe she found out that she got an std from an ex after dating you for a while.

You are a moron 78... Their original purpose was the same purpose is today; to prevent pregnancy and STD's. The problem is human error. Condoms DO protect you from STD's when used perfectly. But most people don't use them correctly.

96 - i was talking strictly using condoms, of course you wouldnt/shouldnt still have sex with them but that wasnt the thing in question! (unless you fit "not having sex" into the "using a condom properly" category then whatever)

To those saying cheating, nothing says how long they have been together, could of happened before. Or she could of just lied or had not been checked and assumed as nothing was showing symptoms. Does bring up some trust issues either way though. Cheating/lying/assuming is never good.
