Today, I found my diary on my mother's nightstand. Bookmarked. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found my long lost diary and curiously read it. What's worse than finding out that your mother read your diary? Finding out that your mother wrote comments in it. FML
Today, I found myself lying to my diary. FML
Breaking news
Today, I was helping my mom look for some money she'd misplaced. At my wit's end, I flipped through her diary, in case she'd hidden it between the pages as she has before. Didn't find the money, but I did find out she might well be cheating on my dad. FML
Today, my mom read my diary. Then she frantically booked me an appointment with a psychiatrist. FML
Today, I found one of my mom's old diaries that dated back to my infant days. I couldn't help but read a little. I'm now in great concern over how many times my mom wrote that she wanted to dunk me in the toilet or throw me against a wall. FML
Spy vs. Spy
Today, I panicked when I realized two of my diaries were missing. I turned the house upside down, and found them in the guest room, tucked away in a dresser drawer. My only visitor in the last six months was my mom. I’m 37 years old. FML
Today, feeling very distant from my daughter recently, I decided to sneak a peek in her diary to see what was on her mind. The book was apparently one of those that play the sound of a woman screaming when opened improperly, and alerted everyone in the house to my actions. FML
Today, my dad found and read my diary. Most of the entries were about how my father didn't respect my privacy. Then he phoned my aunt and read her passages from it. FML
Today, I found my childhood diary stashed in a box in the attic. I flipped to the last page and noticed a little note written by my now deceased father. It read, "Well son, this diary proves that you're a whiny asshole - Dad." Thanks Dad, from beyond the grave. FML
Today, I lost a book. I'd used my credit card as a bookmark. FML

Take it back and write something about 'a big secret' and see how long it takes for your mum to ask you about it.

That's annoying and disrespectful. Definitely tell her she had no right.

Confront her, you've got a right to privacy.

Or she could say something like "I wish my mom would trust me more." Not necessarily after finding out that her mom reads her diary, but maybe after something different (like she wanted to go to a friend's house but her mom said no, or something). Implying that by reading her diary, makes her feel like she's not trustworthy. Maybe her mom will stop then.

Either you have an active sex life or you are a very horny virgin with a lurid imagination. Good thing you didn't check the drawer of the nightstand. One word: Lube.

Is your name by chance Anne Frank?

OP, maybe it's time for you to invest in one of those diaries that screams every time it's opened improperly.

I could just imagine her reading it like a novel before going to sleep lol.

Does your name happen to be Meg Griffin by any chance?
