Today, I found my diary on my mother's nightstand. Bookmarked. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found my long lost diary and curiously read it. What's worse than finding out that your mother read your diary? Finding out that your mother wrote comments in it. FML
Today, I found myself lying to my diary. FML
Breaking news
Today, I was helping my mom look for some money she'd misplaced. At my wit's end, I flipped through her diary, in case she'd hidden it between the pages as she has before. Didn't find the money, but I did find out she might well be cheating on my dad. FML
Today, my mom read my diary. Then she frantically booked me an appointment with a psychiatrist. FML
Today, I found one of my mom's old diaries that dated back to my infant days. I couldn't help but read a little. I'm now in great concern over how many times my mom wrote that she wanted to dunk me in the toilet or throw me against a wall. FML
Spy vs. Spy
Today, I panicked when I realized two of my diaries were missing. I turned the house upside down, and found them in the guest room, tucked away in a dresser drawer. My only visitor in the last six months was my mom. I’m 37 years old. FML
Today, feeling very distant from my daughter recently, I decided to sneak a peek in her diary to see what was on her mind. The book was apparently one of those that play the sound of a woman screaming when opened improperly, and alerted everyone in the house to my actions. FML
Today, my dad found and read my diary. Most of the entries were about how my father didn't respect my privacy. Then he phoned my aunt and read her passages from it. FML
Today, I found my childhood diary stashed in a box in the attic. I flipped to the last page and noticed a little note written by my now deceased father. It read, "Well son, this diary proves that you're a whiny asshole - Dad." Thanks Dad, from beyond the grave. FML
Today, I lost a book. I'd used my credit card as a bookmark. FML

Take it back and write something about 'a big secret' and see how long it takes for your mum to ask you about it.

That's why I couldn't write a diary when I was younger (though I still don't). My mum would have read it. I once wrote my thoughts down after a shitter of a day and my mum 'found it' despite it being hidden away.

Well, it means your diary isn't boring.

Take it and rip out all the remaining pages and burn them. And take the bookmark for good measure.

Can't parents ever mind their own business these days? Write fake diaries that scare your parents shitless (Jan. 3: Dear diary, today I finally converted to Satanism...)

Young kids or perhaps teenagers or individuals who just want something to get off their chest because not to many people understand their situation.

I agree with 65- diaries are a stupid thing to keep. There's only one place you can keep private info. It's called your head. If its written down, someone will find it someday.

#73 I disagree with you. People like to write their thoughts down on paper. Get over it :-)

This is why you download the app for that on your phone.
