Today, I found my car had been robbed. The thieves stole my GPS, my iPod and my digital camera. While I was filing the police report, the officer recommended I take photos for insurance purposes. Then she remembered my camera had been stolen. She actually started laughing. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, the police called because someone had turned in my wallet that was stolen. I happily drove home only to find that my house had been robbed and ransacked. FML
Today, a "friend" tried to sell me a digital camera that I recognized that was stolen from my home a week earlier, along with a few other things. FML
GTA
Today, both my car and my father's car were broken into. They stole my radio, purse, wallet, camera, and multiple items of clothing. What did they take from my dad's car? Some screwdrivers to help rip my radio out of my dashboard. FML
Today, my car was stolen from my driveway. I reported it to the police, the insurance company, and my neighbors, and begged for help via social media. As I walked to catch a bus, I saw my car parked outside my school. I forgot I left it there last night. FML
Classic
Today, I thought my car had been stolen because I couldn’t for the life of me find it in the office car park. I panicked and called the cops, only to remember I had taken my bike to work. FML
Messy
Today, I was playfully walking back to my car with my girlfriend. My door was unlocked. I then noticed my car had stuff scattered inside. A bum had just robbed and ransacked my car. FML
Today, while I was taking a break at work, someone stole my iPod from my desk. I work in a police station. FML
Classic case of the Mondays
Today, I took the bus after work. When I got to the remote parking lot, I realized my car had been stolen so I called the police to report it. When they came to take a statement and asked me when was the last time I saw my car was, I replied, “This morning, when I drove it to wo… Oh.” FML
Today, I woke up to the sound of my car being stolen. FML
Today, I was pointing out my car to my roommate. He responded with, "Oh that one with the broken window?" Turns out my car had been broken into. They took my CD player, GPS and Ipod. On top of that they left a Reese's Fastbreak wrapper and sunflower seeds on my front seat. FML

FYL for the cop laughing at it, but YDI for leaving valuables in your car!

No, don't take pictures, find every serial # and turn it in to the police. I just had a very expensive camera recovered by having the number for it. I was robbed blind very recently.

That's what they're made for. So you can take it with you and no one can steal it.

That's what I was thinking too, I mean it really sucks that your valuable got stolen. On the other hand one day you'll probably think back and laugh at the situation. Not immediately of course.

This is why you don't keep small, expensive things in your car. But FYL for the cop laughing. That just sucks.

I guess you didn't learn from the FML about the woman whose iPod got stolen from her car. It blows that everything got stolen, but you should usually make sure that the stuff is well hidden or at least on your person. I'm sure the police officer was just laughing at herself for saying something so ridiculous after you told her you had your camera stolen. It's just irony.

what kind of idiot leaves all that expensive stuff in the car!? dumb.

Well you can't really blame her for leaving the GPS in there.
TC1_fml 0
Actually, you can... it's just logic not to leave small expensive stuff in a well seen place in the car. Totally a YDI.

No, I agree with #12. Any normal person would leave their GPS in the car. Since thats, you know, where you use it.
time4coffee 3
You lock the doors when you leave and keep the the GPS out of site and anything else you have to leave in the car. Don't leave anything someone will want where they can see it.
kingofstuff 0
Yeah i wasn't saying don't hide it, i was just replying to the guys comment of who would leave that stuff in a car.
boatkicker 5
Exactly. I dont know a single person who brings thier GPS inside. You don't use your GPS in the house, why should it ever be there? "Hmmm.... I should probably bring this in, incase I can't find the kitchen in the middle of the night."
Woop_Woop 0
all GPSs tell you to take them out of the car if you read the shit that comes with them so STFU YDI
ygdrassil 17
You wouldn't bring it inside to use it there. You'd bring it inside to prevent it being stolen. Like in the FML. But I just put mine in the glove compartment.

definitely YDI, thats like saying I left the car open and the keys in the ignition because you dont use your car keys in the house....
