Today, I emailed my crush an anonymous love letter. It wasn't until twenty minutes later that I realized that the email address I used contained my full name. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I realized that the guy I've been sending anonymous, dirty emails to knows who I am. My signature, which includes my full name, was automatically added to the end of every email. FML
Everyone's a critic
Today, I sent a love letter I'd written meant for my crush to a friend so she could evaluate my prose before I actually sent it to him. For some reason, my emotions got the best of me, and I mistakenly CC'd my mom. She replied with three crying-with-laughter emojis. FML
Today, my creepy, stalker ex-girlfriend was given an anonymous love letter. She's convinced it's from me. FML
Today, I found a love letter in my mail. It was from a girl I met at a bar few weeks ago. I never gave her my address or last name. I guess I have a stalker now. FML
Today, I finished writing the most perfect love letter for this girl at summer school. At the end of the letter I signed: Your secret admirer. Cute, right? Not really. Turns out I was so anxious to finish the letter that I ended up writing my name at the bottom. FML
Forever
Today, I wrote a note for my crush of two years, expressing all my feelings for him, signed it as "Forever your lover", then I slipped it into his locker. Later that day, he walked up to me, tossed the note at me, and said, "You know I recognize your handwriting, right?" FML
Self sabotage
Today, I spent an hour meticulously crafting the perfect text to ask my crush out. Just as I hit send, I realized I'd accidentally sent a screenshot of the conversation to my crush instead. Now they know my level of commitment: zero. FML
Today, I decided to write a romantic email to my boyfriend describing how much I love and miss him. An hour later, I got an email back saying, "I think we need to discuss this." It seems I sent it to my teacher by mistake. FML
The message
Today, I bought a birthday card, wrote a long message, then sealed the envelope. At the party, I handed it over and immediately noticed the name on the front. I'd bought two cards at the same time and given her the one meant for someone else, my secret crush. I fled as soon as I could. FML
Fumbled the ball
Today, I sent a message to my crush saying, “Hey, how are you?” I immediately followed it up with another message that said, “Oops, wrong person,” because I panicked. Now he probably thinks I wasn’t even trying to talk to him. FML

And that's why you don't send love letters like a creeper.

Sorry OP, yep, ydi. :p However, there is positive side to this, perhaps: "Double or Nothing": Own it. Don't give away that you forgot it included your name, act like it was deliberate, and maybe if you're incredibly lucky, displaying that level of guts will impress your crush with your honesty! (I suspect you've already creeped the hell out of him/her if they don't actually know you and come off as a nut-bunny, but no harm in pretending it was intentional at this point, you're already screwed!) Here's to hoping. Good luck, OP! (You still deserve it though.) ;)

Well, you're crush knows. Maybe the person is crushing back, or will want to get to know you better now that he/she knows you like them. Embarrassing, yes, but could turn out good. And if they don't like you back, at least know you were brave enough to send the email. I was finally brave enough to call my HS crush and ask him out. I was in "love" w/ that guy at first sight since 7th grade. He said no. But I was proud that I was brave enough to do it. Lol now many moons later, I'm proud that I went skydiving. My how priorities change as you get older Hahaaa

I think subconsciously you knew what you were doing....hey at least you will know. On the other hand, if the letter said something like "i know you don't know me but i have been in love with you forever"....that's easy to play off that it wasn't you. just say to your crush "im sorry, that was a friend being dumb. i wouldn't be so stupid as to send an anonymous email from an address that's clearly mine".......but hopefully this person loves you also and you live happily ever after and have a great story to tell your future kids.

If it doesn't work, claim you left your email logged in and it was a prank by a friend.

Tell us how it went. Or I guess we'll see an FML if it doesn't go well. Nothing wrong with speaking with your heart, he may secretly admire your courage.
