Today, I caught my boyfriend cheating right after I maxed out my credit card buying him everything on his Christmas list. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Today, I found out that my boyfriend is getting back together with his crazy alcoholic ex-wife who frequently cheated on him. In addition to this news, I also found out that he maxed out all my credit cards. FML
Moment of self-realization
Today, I caught my fiance lying about being at work. Furious, I started breaking his things, demanding to know what skank he'd been sneaking around with. He gave me a stack of receipts, saying he'd been Christmas shopping. He's not cheating, just getting me everything I wanted. God, I'm a psycho. FML
Today, I turned on my boyfriend's computer and saw pictures of all of my credit cards, front and back, and several of my parent's credit cards. I looked in his e-mail and found receipts for items which had been billed to me and delivered to him, including golf clubs and my birthday gift. FML
Today, I got a phone call from my boyfriend breaking things off with me. He waited until the day after Christmas because he wanted all his presents. And he got me nothing. FML
Today, I found out that my boyfriend wrote 50 dollars on my gift card just to look generous, it's really only worth five. I found this out after I tried to buy an arm full of clothes. FML
Today, I found out my fiancé is in the market for a new girlfriend. How? He used my credit card to sign up for 3 dating sites. FML
Today, I caught my boyfriend stealing money from my purse. He tried to turn it on me by claiming I'll owe him for the flowers he'll get me on Valentine's Day, then tried to make me feel guilty by saying the whole thing is for "selfish bitches anyway". FML
Pure class
Today, I confronted my boyfriend about his infidelity. I saw him at the mall with another woman at Victoria's Secret, and I took pictures from a distance. When I asked him why he did it, he told me, "If you have $20 to your name and you see a $100 bill on the ground, you're gonna pick it up, right?" FML
Amazon addict
Today, I found out my husband spent us into overdraft charges through compulsive online shopping. Again. FML
Snoop
Today, I went through my boyfriend’s emails and found out that he cheated on me the day before he asked me to move in with him. FML

Why would you max out your credit card for a guy in the first place?

It sucks he cheated but if you just bought his entire list for him you obviously have some problems.. Too clingy maybe? I'm married and we still aren't that giving..

About 99% of the commenters here advise on returning the merchandise, many comment on a grown man having a wish list. But the pain of finding out he's cheating on her seems not to be important to the obviously heartless people here...

Cheer up OP : do yourself a wonderfull gift for Christmass and dump the cheating bastard. And as of the other gifts, [sarcasm] big deal [/sarcasm]. Bring everything back to the store, they have to refund you full price, at least where I live. The shops can and probably will OFFER you a gift card as a refund, but you are in no way whatsoever forced to accept anything but 100% your actual money back. You don't even need any reason (as if it broke or dosen't fit) to bring back the stuff you bought if it's under a certain number of days (seven?). If bought on the web, go back to the website to cancel your order. Call the company to cancel if website is giving you trouble. As a last resort, call your credit card company to block the transaction should the shop claim they can't refund you 100%. It's that company's fault for crappy consumer service, don't pull up with their shit. Some shops and websites display ''No refunds'' of claim they can't refund if you broke the seal on the package, but the law begs to differ and does over-rule their intimidating ''shop policy''. If shopkeepers insist on denying your basic rights, threathen to and do fill a complain if necessary, as their behaviour is against the law and should not be tolerated. As a last resort, sue for item price+court fees. At least it's how it works where I live. We do have some kickass consumer protection.
