Today, at work in a library, I found a dirty diaper stuffed under one of the public use computer desks. Not only was it leaking, but it had been run over several times by a rolling office chair. I had to clean it up. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I was working at the library. Some punks thought it would be funny to shit in a book, close it and return it in the drop box. The fact that it was sitting outside in the ninety degree heat for a couple hours did not help the stench; it was everywhere and I had to clean the mess. FML
Hush!
Today, I went to my local library to study. As I settled in, I dropped my water bottle, causing a mini flood. Panicked, I tried to clean it up with paper towels, only to knock over a stack of books, creating a domino effect of chaos. The librarian gave me the dirtiest look. FML
Today, at work, I went to fold a pair of pants that was left in a changing room to find out that someone had taken a dump in them. FML
Nice neighborhood
Today, I had to clean up human poop that someone trailed through the store. Then, as I was cleaning up all the shelves at the end of the day, I saw that someone had changed their sanitary pad, took a new one out of the packed and used it, then left the used one on the shelf. FML
Today, I had to clean human excrement at work when the fitting room turned into the shitting room. FML
Today, at work, I came back from my break to find a child covered in mud. Turns out it wasn't mud. One of the other children had taken all of the poop out of their diaper and smeared it all over the floor, walls, and other children. The other teacher hadn't noticed, and I had to clean it all up. FML
Filthy animal
Today, I work maintenance at a warehouse store. I had to clean the men's stall because someone had pooped on the seat, the floor, and got some on the wall. When I took my break, I noticed that my fellow maintenance coworker had poop on his pants and shoes. I then realized that I just cleaned up his “mess.” FML
Today, someone shat liquid poo in the hallway at work. Right. Outside. The bathroom. Another foot and they could have used a toilet instead of the carpeted floor. FML
Today, I'm a janitor at a middle school. Someone took a poo and placed it on the sink. FML
Today, while working at the daycare, I had to clean the entire place. During the next four hours, I scooped up three human teeth, a rotten log of shit, a tire iron, a condom wrapper, and a yogurt that expired in 2003. I only cleaned the place a week ago. FML

Unfortunately, being a library it probably was carpeted, sucks to be OP.

Isn't there a janitor there? I mean what library has the materials to clean up a mess like this?

#3, you'd think in this day and age people would actually try and come up with something original. Apparently not.

You had to be 'that guy' didn't you?
Aquila_Umbrae 26
You wouldn't think that would be something you might find at a library.

I wonder who take infants to a Library _-_
Aquila_Umbrae 26
People who have children and read books.

You don't take little children to quite places, social rule number one

True. You should also watch and clean up after your kids when you take them places. That includes not leaving their nasty juicy diapers everywhere.

11, It's totally acceptable to bring children to the library, there's actually an entire section just for them. There's no reason for a mother to not bring her child, especially a baby seeing as they sleep so much anyways, unless the child is having some sort of fit or being crazy loud or crying.

loads of people. there are programs put on by libraries for infants. also some have a free wellness clinic thing where women can get general checkups and advice. also there are picture books for infants. and ive seen three year olds in diapers, and at that age they usually enjoy picking out their own books.

A library isnt just 'a quiet place', its has programs for children and loads of books for children. Children are the main focus of libraries. get em while theyre young, teach them reading is awesome and learning is great. So dont think like that. Definitely bring your kids to the library, as much as you can. there are loads of picture books and easy readers for them to look at. just dont stuff their diapers under the desk, or dont let them do it please!

Libraries have "story time" for toddlers, crafts and activities as well. At least all the ones I have been to. The kids book sections is really nice and they have all kinds of stuffed animals and mini tables for them. A library is very child friendly. Unfortunately, you sometimes get nasty, disgusting, ill bred parents into the mix like OP had to deal with.

I love seeing kids at the library. It usually means their parents are doing something right. All of that free knowledge and entertainment... Who wouldn't take their kids to the library?

People who randomly discard diapers disgust me. Whether it be in parking lots, shopping carts, and now apparently libraries, it is in no way appropriate. It isn't too hard to locate a trash bin.

For some people, it is either too hard or they are too damn lazy

I used to work at a movie theater and we'd find used diapers in the theaters. Really, people? Not only can you not take 5 minutes from the movie to change your kid, but you change him in front of everyone and then toss the diaper on the ground... We sure appreciate cleaning it up!...not.

In Amsterdam baby's are banned from libraries, of course that's because of the noise risk but next time a mother starts whining about bringing her little germ sack I'll show her this FML ;)

At least you didn't have to clean the chair
slyde32 12
cause that's much worse than cleaning the floor

I honestly think the diaper isn't the worst part of this FML; it's the sheer disrespect to public property like a library that adds to my steady decline in faith in humanity.
joemud 13
The worst part is that someone ran it over and it was most likely the person who left it for you, maybe you can catch them in the act next time, keep your eye peeled for an infant discarding his/her diaper
