Today, after taking my clothes out of the washer, I noticed at the very bottom of the washer my boyfriend's USB stick I found a couple of days ago. The USB stick contains his English essay, and his novel he has been working on for almost six months. FML
Collection
Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Today, I learned that my boyfriend hides valuables in the washing machine under dirty clothes when leaving town for the weekend. I learned this AFTER I'd done a load of laundry. FML
No good deed…
Today, before I washed my husband’s stinky work jacket, I made sure to check the pockets. What I didn’t realise was that there was another pocket which had two USB sticks with all of his students’ work on them. The guilt trip has been going on for hours, and I’m 39 weeks pregnant, stressed out of my mind. FML
Today, I found a pair of women's underwear in the laundry that wasn't mine. I confronted my boyfriend about it. They were his. FML
Today, my boyfriend came round to drop off some underwear, which I'd left at his house. Not all of what he brought was mine. FML
Today, while I was looking for a file on my boyfriend's hard drive, I came across photos of a half-naked woman wearing my clothes, but whose head wasn't really visible. When I demanded an explanation, I realised that it wasn't another girl - it was him. FML
Melted
Today, I found one of my boyfriend's earbuds in the dryer. He's gonna be pissed. FML
An Inconvenient Thief
Today, after meeting a girl for the first time and having sex with her, I found not only my wallet missing but also the 128 GB pen drive that had my project I've been working on for 6 months on it. I have to give the presentation in 3 days. FML
Today, I started some laundry late at night. Once my clothes were in the washer for about a half hour, I got bored and I decided I would listen to my iPod. After looking for it for another 15 minutes, I remembered where I'd left it; in my jacket... which is now nice and clean. FML
Today, I gave my son a bollocking for losing a very important paper that I needed for work. I've just found it in my right pocket. FML
Today, my boyfriend texted me, asking if I had left my underwear over at his place. No, no I didn't. They weren't mine. Awesome. FML

You can just dry it off in the sun... don't use it for about a week so that it dries thoroughly, then it should work just fine. I really don't understand what all the fuss is about.

Yeah, it should still work once it dries out (flash memory=no moving parts). Should be a lesson to your boyfriend, too—clean out your own damn pockets!

Can't imagine how such important things won't have another backup somewhere. At least on his computer, cause the stick is a type of back up, so no problem.

Exactly, if he doesn't have a backup then he's a total idiot.

How you uh, how you comin' on that novel you're working on? Huh? Gotta a big, uh, big stack of papers there? Gotta, gotta nice litte story you're working on there? Your big novel you've been working on for 3 years? Huh? Gotta, gotta compelling protaganist? Yeah? Gotta obstacle for him to overcome? Huh? Gotta story brewing there? Working on, working on that for quite some time? Huh? Yea, talking about that 3 years ago. Been working on that the whole time? Nice little narrative? Beginning, middle, and end? Some friends become enemies, some enemies become friends? At the end your main character is richer from the experience? Yeah? Yeah? No, no, you deserve some time off. plus I dont think he should be worried about back up...since USBs are typicaly used for backup

USB sticks are flash memory, just don't plug it in until it's been thoroughly dried (hair dryer) and you'll be fine

What's a USB stick?

YDI for not checkin all the pockets first
haildixie 0
No, I think HE deserves it for not checking his own pockets.
time4coffee 3
He definitely deserves it for not looking in his pockets. If it was so crucial why leave it in pocket?
alex_vik 1
He doesn't deserve anything. His girlfriend was the one carrying it around in HER pockets without giving it back to him.
cameron194 9
Yea read the fml, it says she picked it up and found it in HER laundry..
Bullshot 0
hmm... did you even check if it was stil working? it should work if you wait for the memory stick to dry completely inside before you test it again.... oh, and btw YDI

Sorry, but flash drives have, in my experience, proven to be waterproof. Also, I can't imagine his novel is any good anyway.

why would u say that last part. u are rude

this shouldn't be a huge deal..just let it dry out before you plug it in again...i've washed mine once or twice and it still works just fine. Oh, it also wouldn't matter if i lost it because I have my data backed up in more than one place!!!
