Today, I started some laundry late at night. Once my clothes were in the washer for about a half hour, I got bored and I decided I would listen to my iPod. After looking for it for another 15 minutes, I remembered where I'd left it; in my jacket... which is now nice and clean. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Mystery solved
Today, I took my laundry out of the washing machine and noticed one of my socks was missing. I checked the drum, the floor, and the laundry basket. I eventually found it inside the sleeve of the hoodie I'd been wearing while loading the machine. FML
ETA? No idea!
Today, I was running late for an important meeting and couldn't find my car keys. After searching around for way too long, I finally realised where they were - in the pocket of the pants I'd worn the day before, which were now spinning around in the now-unstoppable, two-hour washing machine cycle. FML
The void
Today, I found the missing sock from my laundry inside the sleeve of a hoodie I’d already worn twice. I now know where my laundry goes to hide from me. FML
Stinky mess
Today, I put my laundry into the machine before work and came home eight hours later. The clothes were still sitting there, completely dry. I'd forgotten to turn the machine on. Somehow that felt worse than forgetting the laundry altogether. FML
Today, I found my iPhone. Too bad it was when I was getting my clothes out of the washer. FML
Today, I woke up on the couch and realized I had fallen asleep while doing laundry. Ran to the laundry room, and found all my clothes gone. I really wish I hadn't been doing a load of all my pants. FML
Laundry Day
Today, I had to do my laundry. Being too lazy to separate them into different colors, or even check the pockets of my jeans, I threw everything I own into one load. Turns out I had left a tin of lip balm in one of my pockets. My whole wardrobe is now covered in spots that won't come out. FML
Today, I was laughing at a story of a girl who had dropped her cellphone in a hottub and ruined it. As I was feeling pretty good about myself, I then realized that my cellphone was in the pocket of a sweater that I had just thrown in the washer 20 minutes prior. FML
Today, I was washing some clothes in the laundry room at my apartment complex. I went back an hour later, passed my neighbor on the way in, and moved my clothes to the dryer. I just brought them back from the dryer, and all my underwear are missing. FML
Today, I returned a friend's jacket after borrowing it. I made sure to wash it and keep it clean. When he went to put it on, a pair of my granny panties fell out of the sleeve. FML

This is why you always check your pockets before doing laundry.

You know, saying you aren't one just makes you seem more like one.

YDI for not checking your pockets before throwing them in to be washed. =( At least your music is backed up on your computer right? Hopefully maybe it'll work when it dries...

sucks op, happened to me with my iron maiden tickets, feel your pain..

Dude, that's even worse than losing an iPod. I would go insane if I did that to my Iron Maiden tickets.

Were they actually ruined though?

Always keep your tickets somewhere safe. Especially if it's for something like Iron Maiden

I went sledding with my iPod in my jacket pocket =P After I soaked it in rice overnight, it was fine. Try that, OP! That was a 2nd generation iPod touch that I bought myself in 2008 when I was 13. I put that poor thing through hell but it still works today :)

That's why you check your pockets before you put wash in. Hopefully the iPod still works. I've had a few things go through the washer and had them still work - one of the reasons why I ALWAYS check pockets now.

I've heard of people bleaching the little water damage thing in the comer of the iPod white and then sending it in for replacement.
