Wait a minute, she said no because she thinks for a moment there you proposed to her only because she said or suggested that and not because you love her. What she was expecting was you proposing on your own and not being forced by her. Yes, she is probably making it complicated by testing your love for her but sometimes, it's better to think on your decision if it is the right decision or not than doing it the right way.

If my guy proposed to me with the wrong ring I would say no. That sounds bitchy like that but let me clarify. He could pop the question with a ring from a gumball machine and I would say yes but if he got down on one knee, opened that nice little velvet ring box, and revealed a diamond ring I would say no. I hate diamonds with a passion. I don't understand why anyone would willingly wear diamond jewelry. I also can't understand why people wear Gold jewelry either but my hatred for that is less than diamonds. It would make me say no if a guy got me a ring that he knew I would hate just because of some tradition. Wow, that was rambling, my point is that there is always the chance she said no because of some small detail being really off that is a big thing to her. That or her feelings might have changed after years of waiting for you to pop the question.
