Today, I went to my fiance's cousin's wedding with him. I got drunk and danced like a stripper in front of his entire extended family, who I'd just met that day. FML

Halloween
A failed costume, stolen candy and a very real scare: Halloween, the one night when fear is allowed.
Same thing different taste
Very romantic
Today, I went to my (now ex) boyfriend’s step-uncle’s wedding. He got absolutely wasted and kept talking about marrying me in front of his mom and step-dad, but was listing off who he would and wouldn’t invite, all in front of the people he wouldn’t invite. FML
Today, I met my fiancé's parents for the first time. The only problem was that I was highly intoxicated. FML
Today, I was attending my bachelor party. I watched a very attractive young girl dancing on a pole, giving me a seductive look. As she walked up to me, I realized it was my soon-to-be wife's younger sister. FML
Today, at my bachelorette party, I got so wasted, I ended up giving my stripper a lap dance because he "wasn't doing it properly". There's photos. FML
Today, my fiancé came home drunk with some girl. Then he told her that I was his sister. FML
Today, I took my new boyfriend to my step-sister's wedding. He knew more people there than I did, including 3 bridesmaids he used to sleep with. FML
Today, I married the love of my life. I was ecstatic until the wedding reception, where my new husband got drunk and started crying about how he'd been "forced" into marrying me. FML
Lies and slander
Today, I got married. During the reception my husband got drunk and told 200+ people that we met at a dingy bar and that we "totally banged" all night. I don't know what's worse, the fact he embarrassed me in front of everyone I know, or if it was that that was not how we met. Not even close. FML
Bachelor party
Today, I had to cancel my wedding because my fiancé is so hungover from his bachelor party, he's throwing up all over the place, can't stand up straight and is calling me by the stripper's name he met yesterday night. FML
Today, I decided to hit on a very attractive girl. I guess I was too drunk to remember it was my family reunion. FML

This is why you should not drink excessively, especially in front of people you are trying to impress. You can't control your drinking behaviour but you can control you drinking. Poor fiance, and poor people who had an idiot at their wedding.

A lil weird you're just meeting his extended family and you're his fiancé
teentee401 37
Not really that weird. She probably already met the parents, maybe siblings and grandparents but no reason to really meet cousins, aunts, uncles, etc. until the opportunity comes around.

Ahhhh shut your face. Have you considered the wedding was boring as ****?
anonymuse_fml 31
Yes, because that is always a great reason to make an ass of yourself and potentially ruin someone else's special day. Not selfish at all...
Skoff_fml 27
Weddings generally are boring as ****, so either decline or suck it up and behave approximately.

If you hadn't drank to excess, this wouldn't have happened. I'm all for having a good time, but not when meeting my partner's family. YDI .
MrSassypants 34
So when you meet your partner's parents, you don't want to have a good time?
kaitlynjane 28
#14 There is a difference between "having a good time" and getting so shit faced that you act like a complete idiot in front of your fiancé's relatives at their wedding.
SPN_lover666 27
#14: When I meet my future in laws, I will have a good time and not get shitfaced. There is no excuse to get that drunk.

Pretty sure #14 was just joking
MrSassypants 34
I was joking, but I came off as jerkish and rude. I meant that she said "I'm all for having a good time, but not when meeting my partner's family" which I took into a literal sense in "I don't want to have fun in front of my partner's family" instead of "I don't want to get drunk in front of my partner's family." Either way, I made a stupid joke and I accept the thumbs down.

More like F your fiancé's life...

This is a textbook example of why there is a YDI button on this site.

Why would you get drunk around people you just met? YDI...hopefully when you and your fiance are married you can look back and laugh at this.

they secretly loved it

But the children were horrified! (unless they also liked it)
