Today, a woman and her daughter came into the store I work at. The girl placed a pair of underpants on the counter, and confessed she had stolen them earlier. Assuming she had already heard a lecture, I simply thanked her for bringing them back. Her mom yelled at me for not yelling at her. FML

Fall
Dead leaves, the first cold of the season and an umbrella flipped inside out: fall, the season of grace.
Same thing different taste
Thick as thieves
Today, I was at the mall shoplifting when a girl who looked my age pointed to a shirt I had in my bag. "Stole that, huh?" she asked smiling. She looked pretty cool, so I nodded and asked if she stole the jeans she was wearing, which were from the same store. Turns out she didn't, she's the manager. FML
Stars of CCTV
Today, while I was shopping, I spotted a lady who had the last of an item I wanted in her cart. She went off to the dressing room, so seeing my opportunity, I went and grabbed it from her cart, and put it in mine. I hadn't noticed her bratty-ass daughter next to the cart, who then yelled, “I saw that! Mommy! Some lady's stealing from your cart!” FML
Snitched
Today, I caught a grubby, evil-smelling, foul-mouthed woman blatantly shoplifting by stuffing electronics into her coat pockets, so I detained her and called the police. Less than an hour later I was fired. She was the shop owner's mother and “had permission” to just take stuff. FML
Pants on fire
Today, while going through my daughter’s room, I found a pair of pants with the security tag still attached. My daughter is a thief. FML
Today, I caught and kicked a shoplifter out of my store. The shoplifter was my mom. FML
Today, I slipped money into my mother's purse after she refused to let me pay for lunch. She caught me in the act and thought I was stealing money from her instead. FML
Today, I returned a shirt for my mom. When the cashier asked why, I just said my mom didn't like the way it looked. After an awkward pause, I noticed the cashier was wearing the same shirt. She was not amused. FML
All my fault
Today, I went clothes shopping. I took my little daughter into the dressing room while I tried some clothes on. She somehow managed to open the door while I was changing. A lady outside then bitched me out for "exposing" myself to her kids. FML
Not now!
Today, I was in a department store with my three year old daughter to buy some new jeans. I took her into the dressing room with me and as I began to take off my pants she yells, "Mommy, you can't go peepee in here!!" I am no longer welcome in that particular store. FML
Today, I found out where all my missing panties have gone, when my 12-year-old daughter was caught selling them to the boys at school. FML

You are not her mom, that's her job to yell at her not yours.

It's not your job to parent a strange child.

Uhm..who steals underwear? Lol

Panties? Really? I figure, if you're going to steal something...Why not steal something, I don't know, better? But what ever, that's not really the point on the FML. Mothers will be mothers and bitches will be bitches. When you have a combination of the two, it's best to just go on with your job.

I'm wondering how horrible her mother is that she actually had to steal underwear. And why the hell do so many parents seem to think it's everyone else's job to raise their kids? Let the school teach them everything. Let their friends tell them how they should act. Let strangers keep them from wandering off into the street. Let the police punish them for doing drugs or drinking underage. Let the employees lecture them for stealing. And then the parents yell at those people for trying to raise their kids for them. What...?

I agree with #1. I work as a cashier too and I wouldn't have started yelling either

And if you did yell, you know, that the mom would have given you sas for yelling at her child.
