Today, while watching TV with my boyfriend, I was telling him that I wasn't looking forward to "getting older" and turning thirty in three days. Five minutes later, he said, "I never knew you had so much grey hair already" and then offered to help me dye them. FML

Turning 30 was my favourite birthday so far....leaving the insecure 20s behind and getting a handle on "this is who I am". I've had 8 birthdays since then and am now looking forward to #40 being just as good, grey hair and all.

My boyfriend did pretty much the same. He mentioned how much he liked how bright my grey hairs were, ON my 30th birthday. Why would anyone think that was a good thing to say?!
