Today, I invited my boyfriend to come to an event to meet some of my friends for the first time. I had been raving about him for weeks, and everyone was curious to meet this "amazing guy" I'd been dating. He showed up in a Darth Vader costume because he thought it would be funny to embarrass me. Today, I took my boyfriend out to meet my coworkers for the first time. I really wanted to impress them, and get them to think how cool we are to hang out with, since I am new to LA. Instead, my boyfriend threw up in my boss's sink. FML
Today, my boyfriend asked me to meet his parents over Christmas. I was ecstatic. But there was one condition: I must go dressed as a girl since he hasn't worked up the nerve to come out to his parents yet. We've been dating for over a year. FML
Today, my boyfriend introduced me to his parents and siblings for the first time. Their first reaction was, "Oh? You're her? All this time we thought you're some cartoon character from yet another lousy anime he keeps babbling about." FML
Today, my boyfriend came over for dinner for the first time. As a joke, my dad answered the door wearing the white church robes that he wears when he is lay-reading during a church service, and said, "Welcome, child of God." FML
Today, after months of hardcore flirting with this incredibly attractive guy, he invited me to hang out. At which point he introduced me to his boyfriend. FML

Although I admittedly find this whole thing rather amusing, it reminds me of some individuals I know who like to embarrass and tease others without regard for propriety, boundaries, or the feelings of their 'victims'. It's easy to assume that OP lacks a sense of humor or is overly sensitive (and that very well may be the case), but I've witnessed 'harmless' and 'fun' jokes not unlike this one escalate into truly hurtful, humiliating, and borderline abusive behavior. I realize this is an extreme example, but someone who does not respect the emotional boundaries of others is not innocently expressing their sense of humor; they do so because they derive some kind of enjoyment from inflicting discomfort onto others.
