sounds to me that it's not about the purse but more about him being proud of himself for finding a present for you that he was very considerate and caring about. Give him some credit for it, he just wants some compliments about how good of a boyfriend he is. And about the birthday sex thing; I havent read anywhere that you cannot get both presents and sex on your birthday.. so what the hell are you waiting for!?
