Maybe because you wrote on his car? What did you write with? I hope it was in the dust or with something washable.
Most people want to ask the person in a unique way, I think her idea was thoughtful. soo that's probably why she wrote on his car and he shouldn't have been mad about that ...
Well writing on his car is not such a good idea because then he has to wash it off and all...
Haha, that guy is a class act.
a simple note on the windshield would do.
burn! lol
...and she probably wrote it with window chalk (which does not come off easily at all)
i would be pissed and say no too
I agree with #4. You didn't need to write all over his car. However, if the boy really liked you, he wouldn't have cared and would have said yes. So, your life is fucked because the boy isn't into you but you deserved it for writing all over his car (like really.. he's a guy.... don't mess with his car).
#6 he'll yea you never mess with a mans ride. whether a beat up old truck, a brand new 370z or even a rusty fiesta never mess with a mans ride!!!!!!
...Why did you write all over his car????
That's weird.
And a tad bit creepy.
ehhhhhh atleast you weren't like stalker girl.......
i'd be shit livid if someone wrote on my car.
#8
oh yeah. those losers. i remember that FML. my #21 comment was great.
your refering to the my friend and i spied on my crush from the roof one. right?
way to ensure he thinks you are a psycho bitch
you know, it wouldn't hurt to ask him face to face...but i guess you still got results
bad move there... Never mess with a guys machine. And look at it from his point of view, even if he might have wanted to go with you he'd almost have to say no. What you did is kind of like a guy poping this question on tv. Not a good idea... You put him on the spot and probably made him uncomfortable... Unless you are the one girl in school every guy is dieing to get in bed with or go out with his friends may have pressured him to turn you down.... I guess the best way of thinking about this is that anyone who saw his car knows you have a thing for him (I would hope you asked a guy you like). How would you feel if you walked out and found your car covered in "I want you body, ____" insert name of choice there. now any time you're seen talking to that guy or near that guy people are going to start whispering. Like I said this was an ill thought out move and you paid the price so not worthy of posting to this cite but since it's here YDI
guys come on she didnt deserve that, that guy was a dick for doing that, if a guy had asked a girl that way it would have been romantic and thats what she was going for and he responded with mean.
besides you cant say "o you shouldnt have written on his car" when he wrote on her's right after, a much more humilating message
#15 - On 03/30/2009 at 10:24am by Carlynator09
You're joking, right? A note on the windshield would have been a much wiser move. Even with the roles reversed, I wouldn't write all over her car; I'd stick with the note.
And as for the guy retaliating: for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
I'm sure he would of said yes if you would of just asked him some other way that didn't involve him having to wash something afterward. Writing on someone's car isn't exactly a... polite gesture, lol!
some people put way too much effort into asking someone to prom...i think just asking him to his face would've been less humiliating
This is definitely a YDI moment. No matter what you wrote with, it's creepy and stalkerish. But also.. It's a CAR. You don't write on somebody's CAR.
I hope he used Sharpie on yours.
Sharpie on a car comes off real easy. Trust me, I know.
I would say you deserve that. Why the heck would you write all over his car? Ridiculous.
Awe, haha i'm sorry but this this is really funny!
What is with kids these days? I mean, why are they going to such great lengths to ask people out? I'm 20 and when I was in high school the most elaborate way I was ever asked out was when a guy came down to my work to ask me out.
And the thing is: has anyone else noticed that the majority of the elaborate ask-outs are girls? There was cupcake girl, the one who waited in his driveway with balloons, and now this. I'm sure there are guys who have elaborate methods too, I'm just saying the girls seem to be way more prominent.
You wrote on his _car_?! In March, when it's really cold and you don't want to have to wash it? Why?!?!?! I'd be fuming if someone I didn't like just decided to write all over mine (and I'm a girl!) - next time, if you want to do something 'romantic' and big, please, at least go for something easy to get rid off like writing it on his garden with pebbles.
Or better yet, just ask him face to face!
this is incredibly creepy. YDI. i know it's prom and everything, but all over his car? are you serious? it's like you lost the concept of just going up to someone and asking them.
One thing you have yet to learn, obviously, is don't fuck with a guy's car. Duh!
What a jackass way to ask someone to prom.
This is a lesson that I think a lot of high school girls have to learn. Guys do not respond to the same romantic gestures that girls do. My high school gf once put a bunch of balloons and heart stickers and crap all over my truck for V-day, and I got pissed. Then she got pissed that I was pissed. A simple BJ and a card would've sufficed.
Anything you do publicly like that is gonna embarrass the boy, which will not get the response you want. Teenage boys are not into public displays of romance. YDI
your fault.
#29 - On 03/30/2009 at 11:06am by uhmx3hii
there are always loads of stories of people trying to ask some1 to a prom in retarded ways on fmylife!!
#30 - On 03/30/2009 at 11:06am by sheepyblah
Man how much fun. sometimes I wish I took HS less seriously and had fun doing stuff like this..
#31 - On 03/30/2009 at 11:07am by jm88
What happened to good ol' fashion asking the person FACE TO FACE. God, is everyone socially awkward nowadays?
YDI. Why the hell would you write all over his car? My friends did that to me once and even I was kind of annoyed, and those were my FRIENDS. If some random girl wrote all over my car asking me out I'd say no too. After she washed my car.
#33 - On 03/30/2009 at 11:11am by Chris968
so you wrote on his car and waited for him to call you back with an answer? how cowardly are you that you can't even be there in person to ask this guy you supposedly like to prom? the fact that he rejected you doesn't even necessarily mean he doesn't like you... he might just be really mad that you would ask in such an immature way.
if you wanted to do something related to writing on cars, here's your solution: write "PROM?" all over your OWN car (so he doesn't have to wash it off), drive over to a space near his car at the end of the day, and wait for him to walk over.
This is too retarded even for a romantic comedy. What the hell were you thinking? I'm surprised you didn't get in trouble for vandalism.
what the hell is wrong with you? what made you think writing on his car would be a smart idea? if you wrote on my car, i'd call the cops, or beat you up. plus, thats kind of stalker-ish. CREEPER ALERT!
That's hilarious!
I'd totally high-five that guy.
You'd call the police or beat her up, #36? That's a little extreme. You've got some violent anger problems.
But geeze, that was such a stupid thing to do, OP! And if I came back to my car and found some guy had written over it, I'd be pissed too. Such a personal question out in the open for anyone to see! It makes sense that he'd reply just as openly, so you got what you deserved.
Ridiculous over-the-top romantic crap works in movies.
You know what else works in movies? Using cars as projectile weapons to blow up helicopters, kids being counseled by dead psychologists, and learning kung fu in a montage.
Seriously, people.
Don't you girls learn from this site?? Don't make cupcakes, don't draw on cars, don't do weird stupid creepy shit. Just ask normally!
No shit. But then they BAWWW about "omg such a huge risk!!! I don't want to be rejected".
WHAT THE FUCK YOU THINK GUYS ARE EXPECTED TO DO?
Most people do something extravagent like that if they're dating or its a sure thing. But wow, that guy is an ass. I wouldn't tell anybody lol.
Ha! Serves you right for writing on his car.
#40 - lol!! Exactly! Hell, I'm a girl, and I know better without having to reference this site.
What is it with kids these days? I was in high school not that long ago, and we all acted sanely and maturely. Sure, there were a few bad apples, but they were few and far between.
When I was in high school, we would never have gotten caught doing something silly. We had courage and asked people out directly. I don't know what caused it, but suddenly kids are so demanding and feel they are entitled to everything.
You all need to shape the fuck up - you're an embarrassment to this generation.
Sincerely, a guy born in the 80s.
I'm a girl, and if some guy wrote all over my car asking me out, I'd be pissed off. I don't care how hot he is. Don't write all over my car. I'd say no whether or not I found the guy attractive. Since I feel that way, I wouldn't go and write on somebody else's car. It's just creepy....
What's with the creepy stalk-ish car-writing?! Seriously? The only time something like that would be acceptable would be if you're already dating him and you know he'll find it funny or sweet. Of course, in that case, hopefully you already know the answer and asking is just a formality.
wow, you got turned down after making a huge mess on some guy's car? i wonder why he turned you down and messed up your car. it's just such a mystery. don't be an idiot and write all over his car. just ask.
#46 - On 03/30/2009 at 12:13pm by fcuk
just because no one else is saying this and i think someone should, props to you for asking someone to prom even though you're a girl and for asking in a creative way. you didn't go about it the right way, but i do think you deserve some degree of praise for what you did. i still stand by everything i said in #34 though.
you guys act as though she completely vandalized his car.
it was most likely window markers. and she probably just decorated the windows with it. just trying to ask him in a cute and creative way.
a note on the windshield wouldve been dull. and not creative whatsoever.
#48 - On 03/30/2009 at 12:27pm by oooh_dear
I'm sorry, but that's borderline stalker and definitely WEIRD. I'm sure he did not appreciate having you write all over his car, thus forcing him to clean it off before he could go anywhere. Next time, be less weird and just ask him directly.
hasn't anyone on here written on their friends' car windows/had theirs written on w a window paint marker??
it's just a fun, harmless thing a lot of high school kids do..
everyone saying they'd be pissed and turn her down too needs to lighten the fuck up.
Men are protective of their cars. you'll learn.
40 is right.
And it's been said before, but seriously...
I'm just curious what the hell compelled you to think that asking him by "writing all over his car" was a good idea...
That's like "Oh, I know! I'll just TP his house with flowery toilet paper!"
...WTF.
You're a creeper.
how unbelievable RUDE of him!! what an ass hole.
#48, drawing on the windows makes it hard to drive, window markers are hard to get off and going around asking someone out publicly like that is annoying, not cute or creative. This chick definitely deserved it, this is borderline stalker.
#54 - On 03/30/2009 at 12:58pm by Callyn
It probably was window markers, but still. I would have been pissed even if it was a girl i liked a lot. Guys don't like people messing with their shit. Period. I don't think any of the ways I saw on here would get a yes from me. I was asked to prom by a girl, but she didn't do anything creepy. She manned up and asked me straight up. You may think you're being romantic, but guys think its just plain weird.
If you're not gonna ask him face to face, expect him not to take you seriously. I'd hate to see the torture you'd put a guy through if you wanted him to marry you. Turn down the crazy a few notches.
i thought guys are supposed to ask girls to prom?...
#15 it would have been equally as creepy if a guy who'd written "Will you go to prom with me" all over my car. I would have definatly said no, I wouldn't have been as creative about it but still writing stuff all over peoples stuff is creepy and I wouldn't want to go out with someone who vandalizes my car.
To the OP, YDI what's wrong with being straight forward? Then at least the entire school doesn't know your a creeper, that's seriously stalker behavior. What's next sneaking into his bathroom and writing "I love you" all over his mirror?
Nothing says love like vandalism. Hate to see what you would have come up with for a marriage proposal.
if you want a man dont touch his car!!!!!!
#60 speaks the truth. If a girl wrote on my car asking me out, well, I can;t think of anything witty to say, but chances are I'd spend the day washing my car than with her.
:/ i think that would only be cute if it was established you both liked each other. but it sounds like you two didn't have much interaction .... which makes it seem immensely creepy. i would've said no too. i'd be pissed you made WORK for me .. over prom? no.
#62 - On 03/30/2009 at 1:45pm by Lauriebug
That's pretty original is you ask me. Hopefully it was washable :)
Too bad he said no to you though; no sense of humor I guess...
Why would you do that ? :s
People are getting really creative nowadays...like the gilr who made cupcakes. Poor thing.
Eh! YDI..
If someone wrote all over my car No wouldn't be what I wrote on theirs..
Why couldn't you be normal and ask him straight forward??
But the No's all over your car sound like something cool for you to drive around in.. ^_^
It's not very original anymore kids at my high school do it all to the time and for almost any reason like prom, birthday, V-day, and even random dances. the closer it gets to prom the more likely it is there will be multiple cars with writing all over them. Also another key thing to remember about these cases is that this normally only happens to people who are already in relationships. Its creepy to find out that someone that you don't really know wrote all over your car
you deserved that honey, it is a HUGE PAIN to wash that junk off, and he probably had a bad day too so, like i said you deserved that and it was a little overboard, next time try face to face confrontation, if you got rejected then oh, well atleast you had the nerve to ask.
You're not on the set of a Disney movie. Acts like that aren't cute in real life, they're annoying.
this site is making me lose faith in the female population of the world.
#70 - On 03/30/2009 at 2:35pm by k3llyn
Dude, I'm a chick and I think that this is a really stupid idea. Not only are you making it harder for him to drive (because window marker is hard to get out) but your idea was lacking in dignity on both ends.
If I were the guy, I would've been a little more emphatic and written "Hell NO" instead.
#71 - On 03/30/2009 at 2:50pm by uhnonnuhmus
A lot of these stories are girls who ask in creative ways and get turned down in similar fashion. I think old fashion asking in person is probably the way to go...
dont guys ask girls to prom?
ya dont fuck with a man's ride...
This is the fourth FML I've seen like this. What the hell, guys? What happened to a phone call, or walking up to someone in the hallway? Or an email? A text message?
I mean, damn, you WROTE ON HIS CAR. This isn't ABC Family; in real life, this stuff is not cute.
why the hell did you write on his car????
#75 - On 03/30/2009 at 3:09pm by Person_Man
Call me an idiot but I don't think she wrote all over HIS car. He wrote all over HER's He just didn't want to make his rejection subtle. I don't get why the first bunch of comments are talking about her painting on his car.
Wtf ever happened to, "Hey, do you want to go to the prom with me?", and not "Holy crap, some psycho bitch wrote all over my car, of course I'm going to go to the prom with her!" I agree that you deserved it.
At least you found out he was gay now instead of dating him for 2 years and then finding out he's getting more cock than you.
#57...it's 2009...girls can ask boys to the prom now
i'd be pissed if someone did that to my car..if it was on the windows then that'll be fine...damn
You deserved it, you just ruined his car for until he cleans it, and he got you back.
Yeah... YDI. You wrote on his car, put him on the spot, and probably made him a huge laughing stock among his friends. I don't get why you would even do it on a guy's CAR. I'm a girl and even I know most guys treat their car like it's their baby, you don't mess with that. If people don't like getting a tiny, tiny scratch on their car, what makes you think they'd like getting their car written all over?
My best guy friend is massively anal about his car.
Writing on the car or putting a potato up the tail pipe. About the same thing.
If he's a car guy, that's probably one of the worst things you could have done.
#83 - On 03/30/2009 at 3:50pm by Emrysa
I agree, your life is fucked... but seriously EPIC FAIL
Some of you crazy kids do the weirdest things to get someones attention.. you're only setting yourself up for something embarrassing, dude. Still sucks, though.
writing on someones car is not a bad idea and stalkerish like everyone is saying... its not origional either but anyone in highschool knows it is normal so dont worry about the 30 year olds on this site. although you are stupid for asking someone you were not sure would say yes.
but take this as a rule of thumb... if you wanna get a guy to like you NEVER GIVE HIM EXTRA WORK! guys are lazy, dont make us wash our cars. like many have said girls like everyone to know they got asked to prom, guys just dont give a shit about all that... so it is cute when a guy writes on a girls car not the other way around.
and his response was classic. and exactly what i would do in that situation. this is the only FML i have laughed out loud in sense the high schoolers made fun of the dorm room guy about a week ago.
why would you ask a guy to the prom that way? You knew it was coming, since you messed with his car. YDI.
I don't understand how your brain works, and we're the same species, or at least that's my impression here. You decided to write "all over" this guy's car, and then you hoped for a favorable answer to the answer you wrote all over said car? That doesn't even compute to me. Why would anyone like that??? Would you like it if a guy wrote on your car? Okay, scratch that: maybe you would. But I don't think you gave much thought to how he would actually feel about that. YDI this one for lack of forethought here.
aww thats terrible!
i think it was a very creative/ cute idea
and he's just an asshole!!
#89 - On 03/30/2009 at 4:04pm by jd08
HeyItsPheddy (#55) - "She manned up and asked me straight up."
Gotta love a woman who knows how to 'man up', eh? LOL
Okay. Heres what i dont get. They honestly are somewhat friends if they know what both of their cars look like. But what i want to know is how did he manage to get a writing utencil in time to write on her car. Like, i wouldnt write anything on anyones car in sharpie so i dont see how he would find a window marker.
YDI for writing on his car. I'm sure he appreciated it. Did you like it when he wrote on your car? Didn't think so.
hahaha!! that's how i was asked to prom!! except my boyfriend just wrote on my windshield!! and was waiting their for me!!
that's what u should've done!
i mean u can't just write on someone's car and leave, they get pissed!!
this is the stupidest thing I have ever read
I don't see what so hard about simply asking. I think the extravagance is an American thing. That being said you're a F*cking creep. What did you write it in??
he's just not that into you .
I wouldn't care if you were the hottest girl in the school. If you fucked with my car like that I'd say no too.
it pains me how high school-ish this is
i think it's funny how people think this is creepy, cuz it's actually one of the most common ways people ask people to prom and such, at least at all the high schools in my area...
hes a jerk!
YDI for being weird. and #100, no one im my area has ever done that to my knowledge.
I can't for the life of me figure out how anyone could think this is a romantic gesture? I mean first off, it's annoying as crap even if you wrote with a washable item. I mean he has to go and clean that car now, which is a hassle and for most people mean they have to pay money to the car wash place.
Second, how can you just not go up to the person and ask?
#76: You're an idiot. "Today, I asked a boy I like to prom by writing all over his car." Could it get any clearer?
I'm loving the misogyny on this thread, "LOLOLOL the whole female population is stupid because a couple of highschoolers asked guys to the prom in stupid ways!" Fail.
#104 - On 03/30/2009 at 5:12pm by plethora
your a retard. just ask the guy, if some person wrote all over my car, i would be pretty pissed. wow your STUPID, you know how long it takes to get that shit off?
WTF?!
How is THAT a good way to ask some guy for prom!
why the hell would you write all over his car. are you really surprised he said no? sheez
why the fuck would you write all over his car man! hahaha you suck!
lol, on the car. i don't know anything about cars, but i DO know that guys worship them. especially if they own them. NEVER mess up a guy's car.
Why would you even do that to his car?
Sorry, but YDI
haha aww chcik. its alright the guys a tool anyway if hes going to turn u down over a car.
lmao funny story though. u might as well key it now and carve "good it was a joke anyway" into his paint job.
next time build him a cake or something.
i asked a boy to prom by putting post it's all over his car. much easier to get off. should've done it that way
hahha you suk, I need a pic of you too really see the true story.
Writing on his car was definitely not a good idea. Now he has work to do. Props to him for thinking of writing no on yours instead of just telling you.
What's with all these teenagers doing ridiculously elaborate (and a lot of the time creepy) ways of asking people to the prom? Can't you just ask them?! Yeesh.
what's wrong with you?? i think people these days confuse romantic w/ creepy and stupid. you, are the latter.
Throw a brick in his face with the message *aaaaaaaw c'mon*
You can always go to prom with me.. joking. I wish a girl would do that to me, but the probability of getting a prom date at all is approximately .4%
K hun, you're creepy.
Don't mess with a guy's car . No, you NEVER mess with a guy's car .
I don't feel sorry for you at all, who actually writes on people's cars? Like you could try just going up to him and asking him . Or even a simple note on the windshield will do .
Writing on a guy's car asking him to prom SCREAMS desperateness . Major turnoff .
Good luck .
xoxo,
Kate :]
Don't sweat it, #121. Prom is lame as hell anyways. There are way better things to do than prom.
it does not scream desperateness. but you shouldn't have written on his car. i like the post it idea that one of the other girls who commented did. that shit takes forever to come off, but post its you can just pull right off. its also not confusing romance with creepy and stupid. it depends on the personality of the other person. if this guy was someone you dont know all that well, you shouldnt have messed with his car. but if you knew him really well and you knew that it wouldnt bother him to mess with his car, then it would have been a different story. but those marker things take forever to get off and you really shouldnt do that to a guys car. post its was a better way to go. if a girl asked me to prom by putting post its all over my car i'd think it was funny and a cute idea but if a girl wrote all over my car, shit i'd be pissed too. probably why he said no.
Nobody has mentioned this: where was his car when you did this? How long did it take? Why did nobody see you? Did you sneak up his drive in the middle of the night and do it then??
hahaha. sorry.
#126 - On 03/30/2009 at 7:00pm by hegoesagain
@heysup, haha no. it was creepy and stupid. @OP you need to stop sniffing the crazy.
it's probably because you wrote on his car. I'd be fuckin' livid...I don't care if it was washable or not!
Leaving a note on his window? Cute. Writing on his car? Bad idea. YDI.
That's...kind of creepy. Whatever happened to the good, old-fashioned, "Hey! Wanna go to prom with me?" You know--verbally, not all over his windshield.
Ouch. I asked a guy to prom by putting post its on his car, but I didn't do it in the middle of the day for everyone to see. I also didnt leave. I went to his job on a day that I knew he was working till closing and waited 5 minutes before he got out to start putting post its up, that way I wasn't putting post its on his car while there were people still in the parking lot. I was also best friends with the guy and knew him well enough to know that putting the post its on his car was something he'd find cute and funny and I knew he was going to say yes. You went about it all wrong.
You don't mess with a male's car. Seriously, you are lucky that was all he did.
i call you writing on his car, VANDALISM.
DUMBASS YOU DESERVED IT
Either someone else did it as a joke, or he really did do it, but either way, writing on his car was obnoxious, and i'd have done the same thing if a girl asked me out like that.
Why would you write on his car?
Not only is that vadalism
but its really freaking creepy
where i am from this is actually a really cute and popular way to ask someone to prom i don't see why everyone thinks it's so terrible
im sorry it sucks you got turned down
wow im srry if i was a boy ill be lyk scared n call da cops lmao yur a creepy little gurl arent chu eh?
wow im surprised. You guys never wrote on your friends car's before? Me and friends do it all the time... it's fun!! sometimes it even becomes like a game... i think what she did was really cute.
oh well. sorry you got rejected in such a terrible way. ):
#140, I agree, it would be cute and interesting.. too bad this is never going to happen to me though. :(
You wrote on his car... I would've said no too.
YDI for asking in such a stupid, obnoxious way.
That's sweet that you'd try but that's not usually the best approach. Especially cause I think... Chalk is it? Something sucks out the paint in a car. Maybe it's bologna, ffff...
Sucks you got turned down, maybe a more blunt approach might've helped >_>
He was probably pissed that you wrote in his car.
You guys are being stupid about this. In my town, people decorate their cars for these occasions all the time. I.E. asking someone to homecoming, prom, and football games. Not a big deal.
Sucks you got rejected though. Props to you for asking someone though (: Hope you find an awesome date!
If you wrote all over my car I would say no too. Next time take the normal approach and just ask him face to face, don't destroy his car...that's just weird and creepy.
you actually wrote on his car? ooooookay.
Never mess with a guy's car.
Ever.
If you wrote on my car I'd probably have to kill you. Even if I'd previously liked you.
#151 - On 03/31/2009 at 5:38am by Tri
I think that you asking him that way was cute...
but aren't the guys supposed to ask?
he sounds like a jerkkkk
I'm not sure about all schools, but at my high school it's quite common for people to ask someone to a dance by writing on their cars just:
1) use washable markers so it's really easy to remove and doesn't hurt the paint
2) make sure it looks halfway decent when it's decorated and
3) make sure you know they're going to say yes
Still he put a lot of time and effort into rejecting her, which is messed up.
That's kind of rude of him... and really embarassing... but he was probably mad that you wrote all over his car..... You shouldn't have done that unless you were like...pretty sure that he was going to say yes. Like if yall had already talked about going to prom prior to that or something.
Aww... cute and creative on your part. Rude and thoughtless on his. it's okay, he did you a favor.
Well, duh, you freak. Why not just announce it over the PA system at your school? Boys don't like pressure.
A lot of people (including myself) HATE when people write on the windows of their car. it's so annoying! seriously, one of my friends wrote so much shit on my windows once it cast a shadow in my car and i couldn't see. besides, it looks tacky, and you seriously put him on the spot! ydi.
personally i would find someone writing on my car to be extremely annoying and rather stalkerish
next time just ask the person quietly. don't deface their property
If that guy feels the same way about his car as I do about my truck, which I assume he does, I bet he was pissed that you wrote all over it. Hell i get a little ticked when someone taps their hands on my windows and gets that oil from their hands all over it.
It's not so much messing up the car, but if a girl did that to me it would scream "needy" and "sad", alarm bells would be ringing in my head.
YDI. Why would you write on someone's car??
I would have keyed the "No!" into your car.
Don't mess with a mans car, #1. #2 Creeper much? #3......WTF man? You could be the hottest girl in the world and I would still have said no. #4 More keying. #5 You're a creeper...this is a FML for him....not for you...
Ok, if I was that guy, then even if I WAS into you, I would say no. That is creepy and embrassing
It makes me mad if a friend writes a message on my car window when my windows are defrosting, let alone if they wrote all over my car with those window chalk.
I like to keep my car clean, not spend about half an hour washing off something that doesn't come off easily, in 40 degree weather. (Not sure what the weather was for you guys, but it's still freezing for me)
So I can kind of imagine that he probably was a bit pissed that you did that, and wrote back on your car to reject you for payback, instead of telling you at school, etc.
As a person reading the story, this is funny. But don't feel bad about yourself. One day you'll look back to this as a funny memory. LOL

If you didn't want an answer through graffiti, you maybe shouldn't have asked through graffiti...
Weirdo.
You should write on people's cars.

#156, you must be a woman because you know crap all about paint.
1) use washable markers so it's really easy to remove and doesn't hurt the paint
let me make this painfully simple paint is shiny ( like a quarter or a bead ) because the pigment (color) is suspended in or is under a coat of urethane clear polished to a mirror finish. when you write on a car with washable markers, that marker picks up any dirt thats on the paint and creates scratches in the finish.
this is the reason guys get so pissed off when wipe your hand on a car or write on it with washable marker, because it still scratches the paint. YDI
I would have painted NO on your face. Permanent!
why the fckkkk would u write on his car? YDI

Nah that was wrong. You could have just put a sign on his windshield asking it...but writing all over his car?!
If you know the guy, I don't see why everyone is calling you creepy. It's really not that creepy. At my school a lot of people had "Prom?" written on their cars. It really isn't that crazy. At least you tried! Go to Prom anyway!
you deserved it, that's pretty creepy. and i love that guy, he's hiliarious.
ok, i dont understand what everyone else is saying, but over where i go to high school, writing on cars for prom invites is a norm. i hope u used washable paint like most girls at my high school do....
still...thats a bit cruel of him....i programmed a calculator game to ask my crush (she was my friend b4hand) out to prom but she responded by not even being a friend to me afterwards and that still continues today. :(
that's fucking creepy and annoying, did you sneak into his garage at 4 am to do that shit? i bet you're fat
Um why is this a FML when you so totally deserved it, and he did the same thing to you as you did to him???

next time u go to ask a guy to prom, i'd suggest NOT writing on his car lol
I'd just find that really creepy! Plus a complete pain in the ass when it had to be washed off. Bad move.
