Today, I accidentally asked the cashier at Wendy's how much their 99 cent chicken nuggets were. I guess he is still laughing at me. FML

Autumn: Leaves and Laughter
When the leaves fall, the laughter rises. Discover autumn stories as crisp as dried leaves!
Same thing different taste
Today, while working as a cashier at a fast food restaurant, a customer asked me how many chicken nuggets were in our 6 count chicken nuggets. FML
Today, while working at McDonald's, a woman asked me what came on a bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit. Trying not to laugh, I respond, "Bacon, egg, and cheese." She then realizes the stupidity of her question, and launches three dollars worth of quarters at my face and says, "Laugh at that, jerk." FML
Today, I asked my boyfriend where he went to lunch. He said he went to Wendy's. I teased him and asked if he got tired of eating burgers and Frosty's all the time. His response? "What? No, I mean at Wendy's. You know, the hot girl from work?" FML
Burgers? In this economy?
Today, I was hungry and I was trying to buy the cheapest burger at Wendy's, but I'm so broke that I had to call my friends to lend me some money. Ugh. FML
Today, while waiting on a customer at a restaurant, I accidentally asked a midget if she'd like a children's menu. FML
Chicken is seafood?
Today, my family asked me to get dinner, as they'd heard a popular seafood chain had chicken baskets for $4 each. I had $15 on me. When I got there, the restaurant staff laughed in my face and insisted they had never, ever had $4 chicken baskets. The alternative? $14 for ONE chicken dinner. FML
I just work here
Today, while checking out a couple at work, I handed them their receipt and wished them a good day. The woman promptly pulled her husband to the side, and whispered to him about how much of a "fucking idiot" I was for making the prices so high. I work at McDonald's. FML
How very dare you?
Today, I was getting lunch at a fast food restaurant. My boss was in front of me, and in order to get on his good side I offered to pay. Instead, I got fired because I guess my boss assumed I was making fun of his salary, which I knew nothing about. FML
What in the world…?
Today, I noticed I was overcharged at a fast food place, so I asked the cashier to correct it. He got an attitude, so I asked for the manager. The next thing I know, some dude shoved me, yelling, "Shut the fuck up Karen." I fell and hit my head. People in line laughed and cheered. FML
Today, I was working with the kid I babysit for. We were out and he complained that he was hungry. I spent my very last $2 on chicken nuggets for him and a coffee for myself. Just as I sat down, he knocked over my coffee, spilling it into his chicken nuggets. Then he cried for over an hour. FML

But still... The tax on that wouldn't be too difficult if you know your state tax laws...

My friend did the same thing, when we were at a dollar store. I still tease her about it!
Welshite 39
Most dollar stores sell some items over $1.
Enslaved 36
I agree. There's a store here called "The Dollar Tree". Despite the name, not everything is a dollar there. But they tend to have nicer things.
CallMeMcFeelii 13
That's strange, the Dollar Tree up my way only has $1 stuff, sometimes cheaper but never more. I always pick up an item and ask how much it is as a joke. Sometimes I get a laugh, other times a glare.
ChibiChibi_fml 27
Our Dollar Tree only goes up to a dollar. There are items that are less than a dollar but none over. The Dollar General sells items over a dollar. The Dollar and Up also sells items up to five dollars.
Enslaved 36
Oops! You're correct 29. My mistake. I got them mixed up. It's the "Family Dollar" store that I was thinking about.
pinkster2014 25
#31- Same here. My Dollar Tree sells items up to $1 and possibly under, but never over. Family Dollar, on the other hand, does. They're more of a discount store than a dollar store.
mattjamt 16
Never heard of dollar stores selling anything at any price other than a dollar. Regardless, the one we were at was a REAL dollar store!
Wizardo 33
Shit it was 99 cents, coppin it, eating it...

"I'm gonna pop some tags Only got twenty dollars in my pocket I - I - I'm hunting, looking for a come-up This is ******* awesome"
CallMeMcFeelii 13
Totally understandable, 32 haha. So many stores with dollar in their name, yet they charge more than a dollar! Now 5 Below is the shit for us people with minimal income. They have everything you could ever wish for, all for under 5 dollars! I walk out with multiple bags, multiple! I feel like a rich man in that store, haha.

You went full retard... Never go full retard
ChenEighty 20
No, full retard is Arin Hanson in the short "a wonderful evening" or something of the sort. This was just a little brain fart.

Teehee... Brain fart... :)
BellaBelle_fml 23
I don't get brain farts. My brain completely ***** it's pants from time to time.

When you have cable, you want to feel free. When you want to feel free, you decide to try sky diving. When you try skydiving, your parachute malfunctions. When your parachute malfunctions, you drive face first into the ground. When you drive face first into the ground, you gain a mental disability. Just a silly mistake OP, shake it off!
ambiversion 12
that's the spirit. OP, I bet you made that guy's day.. or at least you made him laugh! It was an honest mistake.
Astarea 22
Agreed! As a fast food service employee, that kind of thing can make an employees day a little lighter and more fun. I doubt he was meaning it in a rude way when he laughed. Shake it off and laugh :3

Unfortunately there is no known cure for acute stupidity.
arandomusernameaa 20
Decapitation? Technically that cures it...
Kibaruto 33
I think you're being obtuse.
israelnotjacob 20
Well yes technically death cures it, but most will not choose that option. A shame I know.
Comoke1024 19
This is not just acute, but chronic and severe. A pillow to the face helps! Apply pressure as needed.
rdenkewicz 11
There actually is. It's called evolution.

But OP could be Canadian and visiting America. we have taxes on everything here. it wouldn't surprise me because when I worked at Canada's Wonderland the majority of Americans were unaware of our taxes so the oppositenis possible.

What day this Friday gonna be....
eatmorewaffles 9
That doesn't apply here. One could respond with 'this Friday will be the 14th' or 'Valentine's Day.'
thatkidmal 15
It costs $2
