Today, I saw my boyfriend for the last time for two years. When we got back from dinner, we sat in his truck for a little while to talk. A few minutes later, my mom comes flying out of my house screaming, "Satan is here, and he is tempting you!" That is the last memory he will have of me. FML

Sounds like you need to move out of your parents house. Bible-bashing parents are not healthy for your mental state long term. Thats the kind of shit that ***** people up into believing that enjoying taking a shit too much is a sin or something equally stupid like that. I'm not saying all god squad parents are bad but the ones that force their religion onto their children from a young age are no better than Scientologists IMO.

While your mom might actually be right, you are obviously not a spiritual person. That was most definitely not an appropriate thing to say to someone who has no concept of the spiritual realm. All I can say is that I pray for both you and her. And I make this comment as a person who has lived both sides of the coin. Both as a person who once did not believe in angels and demons, And as a person who has actually seen supernatural phenomena. And lastly, in your defense, I think you are more likely to find God, than she is. Good luck and God speed OP

Mormons are crazy. I'm an atheist and have lived in Utah for 5-6 years. I'm the only one at my school who doesn't talk about church 24/7. I would bet that OPs mom is Mormon

What does it mean when you say you saw your bf for the last time "for two years"? Were you together for 2 years, or do you somehow know you won't be seeing him for two years to come? On topic: poor you... You didn't mention your age, but if you're old enough to go out to dinner, you should be old enough to not have your mother storm out of the house yelling at your boyfriend... But still, you two probably knew your mom is somewhat of an extremist, and he's dating you, not her. Maybe he'll just accept her insanity as .. part of the package?

#9, I would have to disagree with yuu there. I dont think living with or without yer parents would effect having a good two year long distance relationship. love has no limits. I don't normally comment on peoples comments, but I felt I had to say this.

#9: you're obviously a heartless bitch, to think that. I have a friend who got a boyfriend in the 6th. A few months later, he moved halfway across the country. Four years later, and they're still together and visit each other every break/vacation from a school. And neither of them ever cheated. Yes, relationships like this really do happen.
