Couldn't it be possible that he's autistic or has some kind of anxiety disorder which makes him obsessive about keeping certain colours separate? Some people can only eat food after they've separated all the colours... I'd imagine it's at least plausible some of those people might find it difficult to deal with colour-contrasting sex...? Lol

Huh, my first thought was some sort of OCD or autism or something where certain contrasts cause anxiety. (Like in The Imitation Game, where Benedict Cumberbatch's character is obsessive about separating the green (peas) from the orange (carrots) 'They musn't touch!')
