Today, my toddler stood up in a shopping cart and fell, giving himself a black eye. Later, while at a restaurant, he tried to stand up in his high-chair. I quickly blurted out, "Sit down! Do you want another one of those?" while pointing at his eye. The waiter wouldn’t stop glaring at me. FML

Now the waiter thinks that you're an abusive parent. Watch your back OP, your toddler is trying to put you away while he plans to rule the world!

We all know he didn't fall off a cart... He's actually the world's youngest professional boxer

YDI for not knowing how to put words together in a proper fashion.

Lol you have to admit that's pretty funny op.

tell your husband to put it away at tge table, thats disgusting..

Gosh that does suck. FYL for you and your child.

LMAO! See, it's funny because the waiter thinks you're one kind of bad parent but you're really another. YDI for not buckling your baby in and for leaving the baby unattended long enough for him to stand up in the trolley (especially if there was no buckle).

If it bothered you that much, you could have explained it to the waiter what happened in the store. But I doubt he even cares. All he's wondering is how much of a tip you're going to leave after he cleans up all the food you let your toddler spill on the floor.(:

No doubt. It's amazing how piggy some families are when eating out; food ends up all over the floor and table and they just walk away from it all, leaving someone else to clean up the mess.

I've actually tried cleaning up my mess, 45. What you don't know is a lot of places will fire people for not doing their job, or for "making" the patron do it.

I yell at my kids at the time, show them who is in power. They may cry, but know that I am doing that out of love.
