Today, my older brother offered me a cigarette. I took it and barely took a drag before he socked me in the arm and lectured me for taking the offer. He's an alcoholic, and smokes daily. FML

Today, my mom found out about my brother smoking. She calmly discussed smoking with him. On the other hand, I got yelled at and made to do chores all day despite having a university exam, just because I knew about it but I didn't tell her, because I knew that I would get the short end of the stick. FML

Today, my dad hit his mid-life crisis. When I came home and said hi, he told me to shut up, then went to the living room. He then lit up a cigarette and started muttering about having to put up with me, then went into a coughing fit, because he's never smoked before in his life. FML

Today, I got into a major fight with my parents over my younger brother stealing from me. Their response was to get angry at me for my "tone" with them. My brother is 18 with an obvious drug problem, but my tone is the problem. FML

Today, a man in a hurry asked me for a light. Not being able to find my lighter amongst the muddle inside my handbag, I handed him my lit cigarette so he could light his. He took it from me, started smoking it and walked off. FML

I started smoking heavily around 14 but I made the smartest choice by quitting when I was 20, its been actually 1yr & 5 months now that ive been clean & let me tell you it was literally one of the hardest tasks I ever put up with & I feel so much better, mentally & physically.. Don't start now if you never smoked before, its really not worth it. Thing is tho drinking occasionally is fine as long as you know ur limits.. everything in moderation. But I truely hope ur bro gets the support he needs. Just stay healthy, man.
