Today, after being out of the closet for over three years, I learned that some of my friends still don't believe me that I am really a lesbian. They still think I made the whole thing up because I can't get a man. FML

Today, I told my mom I was with my female friend last night, because I wasn't ready to tell her about my new boyfriend. I didn't realize he gave me a hickey and now my whole family thinks I'm a lesbian. They won't stop making fun of me. FML

Today, I realized that I'm at the age that whenever I mention a friend of the opposite gender, my family's first response is asking whether that friend is single. I've already accepted no one will want a pathetic freak like me, so their poking around what few friends I have makes it awkward. FML

Today, my grandmother called me to tell me that there will be a nice, single guy for me to meet at the family reunion. She went on and on about how perfect he was for me. I didn't have the heart to tell her I'm a lesbian, and have been out to the rest of the family for over six years. FML

My parents might think I'm gay too, since I'm 21 and have never had a girlfriend. (Forgive the gender switch, but it's necessary.) It'll turn around eventually though - I had my first kiss recently, and she was brilliant. Suck it up for now, and prove them wrong with the most awesome boyfriend ever.

eh..I think families often times WANT certain people to be gay (usually from some twisted sadism, projection, or vicarious living) and just hound them, and undermine their love lives until they do. but that's just me. Humans are f*cked up.

Well people are gona think what they believe. Why don't you tell them that you dont care? I mean if it's not true then that is a thing for you to know and if they don't wanna believe that then that sucks for them! :)
