Today, my mother has filled me with such grief from covert narcissism that I realized I'm having panic attacks about her being able to hear me if I speak my mind, even when I'm alone. I'm in my thirties and married. FML

I'm sorry you had to go through that and still suffer from it dawg. I've gone through a similar situation, so if it's any consolation, it does get better with the right conditions, you can make it through.

Parenting is difficult. A lot of things need to be forgiven. But if this toxic behavior is still continuing into your thirties, it most likely will not change. You may have to confront her at the risk of losing her to save yourself, your spouse, and any children you have or may have in the future.
