Based off the fact that the person had the balls to mug you while you were with a dog class labeled as vicious by the general populous, and your dog didnt react negatively to a person you were probably showing fear towards: I'd say its a reasonable guess that you know your mugger, and well enough that theyve met your dog at least four or five times

Well, if your dog isn't trained to attack someone, it's not gonna defend you. YDI for thinking your dog is going to do something it's not trained to do, but FYL as well because you got mugged.
