Today, I was hanging out with the guy I really like. I lifted my arms to put my hair in a ponytail when he noticed a hole that had apparently tore in the armpit of my shirt, so he put his finger through it. I haven't shaved in weeks. FML

If the guy likes you back, one instance hairy arm pits shouldn't matter... Also, why are so many people so disgusted by body hair? It's natural. It is going to happen.

My guess is that most of them are yet to have a girlfriend, which is why many of them believe women must shave everything everyday or just get laser surgery to remove that "eww gross!" hair. When they get their first girlfriend and pants-wearing season comes around, they'll soon learn...

Same here, I'm quite confused. It's hair, you have almost the exact same thing on your head and you don't hear people say "Ewww, long hair, gross, how unhygienic !". I personally don't find hairy armpits on girls to be especially attractive, but it's winter, people wear long sleeves, so what their pits look like under their shirts is none of my business. As for the summer, as long as people don't flaunt their hairy pits at me in the subway, I'm fine ^^

I love all the comments sympathizing with OP. Only shaving once a week is alright, but not for weeks? That amount of hair would put me off for sure. Even though he shouldn't have been sticking his finger in there, it's still gross on your part OP. YDI

You are obviously not male. When a guy "hangs out" with a girl he likes, he assumes there is a chance of total nudity, so he shaves and coifs, as needed. I'm not sure why you'd neglect your pits for weeks if a guy you like was nearby.

Well... hope he didn't notice. But I don't get all the hate in this thread, as long as basic hygiene is kept and she's not waving her arms about in sleeveless ensembles rubbing it in peoples faces, whose business is it really if she shaves?

lol... what if it would've escalated in a different way? what if he said he date you if you lifted up your shirt, but then he sees a jungle canopy of pit hair? I expect my girlfriend to shave her lady shaving areas at least twice a week, it's clear you werent ready for the physical maintenance commitment of a relationship.
