Today, I saw my upstairs neighbor outside getting the mail. She asked how my day was, and then apologized that the sound of her baby's crying through the walls kept me up last night. Apparently she heard me when I yelled at 2am for her fucking demon spawn to shut up. FML

Today, I was trying to fall asleep. Unfortunately, my next-door neighbor's baby began to cry. I closed the window and rolled over, unable to hear the crying anymore. My dog's hearing is better than mine, and so he started barking. Goodbye, good night's sleep. FML

Today, I was woken at 4 a.m. by the sounds of someone crashing down the stairs. I scrambled out, still half-asleep, to find out that nobody was in an agonized heap at the bottom. The walls are so thin in my house that I could hear the neighbour falling down HIS stairs. FML

Today, I heard a scream that sounded suspiciously like my cat when he's just had a nightmare or is otherwise in a state of extreme distress. I found him chilling on my couch, so I walked back to my room, when I heard the scream again. I ran back and he was still chilling. It was my neighbor's son screaming outside. FML

It was likely just some animals having sex. When they're mating, a lot of animals - foxes especially - can sound rather horrifyingly like a human in distress.

I would be scared as hell u need a gun if that was me I would not leave the spot I was in for the rest of that night or someone put a baby at your door step or maybe someone was playing tricks on u.but I would be sacard and move closer to people

thats scary as hell. i would have called the cops. theres an urban legend of someone leaving a tape recorder playing a baby crying on women's doorsteps. when they open the door to look for the baby he attacks them! *faint* omg I would have been terrified! thats why I would never live somewhere thats miles away from anyone else.

Yeah I totally heard this thing where wild animals were luring women out of their homes with recordings of cats in heat (which sounds like babies crying) then eating them when they come outside.... We get it, it was either an animal or a serial killer.... Thank you.
