Today, I walked into work, a day after losing my shit with our systems admin, due to her taking ages to enable my new email account. I was soon bitched out, warned, and suspended over several lewd emails having been sent overnight from my account to various female co-workers. FML

Today, at work, I stepped out for a few minutes to use the bathroom. Shortly after returning, I found out the hard way that one of my coworkers had used my computer to send a profanity-filled email to our boss, calling him an asshole and telling him to go fuck himself. I'm now jobless. FML

Today, my boss suspended me for laughing too hard at my desk and causing a big scene in front of our customers. I was laughing because he'd forwarded me a hilarious email. He was practically smirking as he handed me my official warning. FML

Today, I was logging into my work computer. My account became locked due to the many failed attempts at typing my password. Thinking I was alone, I said, “Fuck this shit” while dragging the keyboard off my desk. Turns out my supervisor was in the other room. I'd forgotten I'd changed my password the other day. FML

Today, I sent an email to my boss saying I'd fixed a glitch in our mail servers. He called me later, angrily shouting that I'd done a piss-poor job of fixing it, because my email had spammed his inbox with several hundred duplicate messages. FML

I said YDI because you don't "lose your shit" with anyone. OP doesn't know what was taking the sys admin so long; everyone has their own priorities and deadlines set by their own bosses. Yes, sys admin did something pretty nasty to OP, but OP is far from innocent here.

You deserved it. You should know better than to mess with a BOfH. The sysadmin has more power than you can believe, and can almost always cover their tracks. That's one person you NEVER want to piss off. I know because I AM a sysadmin, and while I would never do this type of thing to anyone, I know the power is there.
