Today, I received yet more mail for my ex-fiancé. We've been broken up for nearly a year and I've told him multiple times to change his address. Getting his mail is a constant reminder that I haven't dated since. FML

Stop forwarding it to him, he'll probably change it then.

Two things: 1. Write "return to sender, addressee unknown" on all his mail and send it back. 2. Go to the Post Office and let them know what's going on. They can put a hold on his mail so that it doesn't come to you anymore. I had to do this for the people my husband and I bought our house from because they never did a change of address after the sale. Also, you don't need to date to go out. Call up a friend and say, "let's hang out" and then follow through. Don't cancel no matter how you feel. Unless, of course, you're enjoying the misery and pity, then you're on your own.

its not email its regular mail

yeah change it for him all you have to do is get the form, fill it out, and drop it in a mail box... don't turn it in to the counter they won't take it from you since he's not a minor

That's against federal law. Her only *legal* options are to store his mail until he comes to pick it up (she's not required to forward it), have the post office put a hold on his mail until he changes it, or to write "return to sender, addressee unknown" or some variant. (That's coming straight from the Post Master in my area.)

write 'return to sender: recipient deceased' problem solved !!

start throwing it out, especially bills! extra points for bills marked "past due" or "final notice".

You can fill out the post office form that directs them to return all mail with his name addressed to your home.

OP, there is nothing wrong with not dating for just under a year. Some people go YEARS without dating anyone.

Just start returning to sender. Not at this address. When he doesn't get his mail maybe he'll do something about it. And find some guy to go out with. There must be somebody who will go out with you.
