That's because they think you're mysterious without a picture? Maybe use a different picture. Shoulders back, big smile, good lighting, some photos just aren't flattering

Well if they're only going to talk to you for looks then they're not really worth it, atleast without a picture they get to really meet you :)

Oh come on stop with all this personality stuff. Yes I do agree that personality is a big part but if the person does not appear initially attractive to another person then they more than likely won't end up together. Humans are shallow most people would go looks first then get to know the person.

May I suggest that you use an alternate photo for your profile? Don't worry, OP, most people are not photogenic and photos are a poor representation of what we look like. Humans are use to seeing each other at multiple angles, photos usually don't provide us that luxury.
