I love how people keep commenting on how ridiculously high the pressure is in the radiator when in all actuality most radiator caps on the market and made to vent any pressure over 8-17 pounds. When a car is at operating temp. it's still very easy and simple to get the cap to come off as long as you push down and twist trust me I've been mechanic for 15 years
I'll confirm the 8-17psi and add that when a car over heats the water temp is around 220 degrees, be glad you didn't get it lose. Nothing like old faithful in the face...
