Today, I had to explain to my boyfriend that the reason I don't want to stay overnight at his house is because I still occasionally wet the bed. FML

I had bed wetting issues from ages 9-11. Turns out I had sleep apnea. Please look into it.

Yes, that is definitely the correct thing to do in a healthy relationship: lie about things that actually affect day to day life! This was in reply to someone up there...I hit reply, sorry about the weird posting placement, not sure what happened!

either A) ur waaayyy to young to b even thinking of spending the night at his house or B) ur parents must b really ashamed of u and u shudnt b havin bfs anyways cuz u got way to many personal issues to deal with.

I have heavy periods and my husband has a bowel disorder... there are worse bodily functions to deal with in the middle of the night, yours is at least one there are things you can proactively do to improve!

oh I don't know... I'm the type of guy who'd be into that kind of thing... and more...

It's better to tell it then letting him find out when it happens. But there are meds you can take on nights you're with him so you won't wet, or you can just convince him to let you wear nighttime diapers

OP I am guessing you already searched for professional help, if you havent, by all means do so. Anyways, that sucks, has to be extremely embarrassing. On a lighter note, if he does not show to be disgusted or freaked out, you have a keeper :3
