I had a similar dilemma a couple of days ago. I bought a pair of scissors but couldn't get in to the packaging without scissors.

Just like that one bit in the Ratchet and Clank games where there were two glass containers with the labels "In case of emergency, break glass to get wrench." and "in case of emergency, use wrench to break glass to get rock to break glass to get wrench." Clank took it to be a mind teaser, while Ratchet just broke the glass with his original wrench.
